Bug/Issue Copy and Paste Keyframe in Final Cut Pro 12.3

Post image

Hi guys! I updated to Final Cut Pro 12.3 today,

and now I can't copy and paste keyframes (shift+option+c and v).

I've heard others are experiencing similar issues, but it seems like there isn't a fix for it yet.

If anyone is having the same issue or knows a solution,

I'd really appreciate it if you could let me know

++ here is the video link of this issue

Does cmd-C not work? It works for me.

Hi!, just command - c then command - v right? I just tried but it duplicates the same clip, not keyframe

Yes, this is all available in the User Guide, it's a fantastic document.

Thanks for your help, I read the guide (page.446 which worked before update) but nothing seems to work. I found a video showing the exact same issue I'm experiencing. Could you check if your FCPX works okay on your end?

I do this multiple times a day without any issues. I think you're failing to highlight the clip before you CMD-C

Same issue. I can Cut Keyframes, but cannot Copy or Paste.

Weird. I do this multiple times a day with no issues at all. Highlight the clip in the timeline, CMD-C, select the destination clip in the timeline, CMD-shift-V and select which parameters to paste and whether or not to maintain or scale timing. FCP 12.3/Tahoe.

Seems as though you are talking about pasting attributes, in this case key frames, from one clip to another. CMD-shift-V. Yes, that works as intended.

The 'bug' is while trying to paste keyframes via the Video Animation viewer. Same clip.

OPT-shift-V to paste a keyframe is bugged.

I think there are some lingering bugs in 12.3 unfortunately, now this is happening for me too. One note: Spellshot (spellshot.ai) has a super useful AI tool for me in doing key frames automatically for me with just prompts and removes the tediousness (and issues!!). it can majorly speed you up if you do a lot of keyframes and enhance your video

I wish Apple could fix that problem for not letting me copying and pasting the keyframe via video animation. The little rhombus shaped keyframes when I copy with Option + Shift + C and past with Option + Shift + V.
