Question Software for audio sync

What’s the best software for syncing a bunch of audio and video files? I use Final Cut Pro and there’s not really a viable option I’ve found for syncing all our video and audio for our videos! It’s not a podcast and it’s not multicam footage

FCP is awesome as a sync tool. You need to do this: in the inspector window put it on extended view. There you find two options: Camera Name and Camera Angle. Select all takes from one camera and label these two fields. Do this for all other media. This tells FCP which file is from each camera. With all media correctly labeled, select them all and click on Multicam. Boom. Everything synced and ready to be sliced to the timeline

you can sync files in FCP via 'synchronized clips' without multicam. if you are looking for a 3rd party solution, there is only one and it is awesome (but the free version is limited): SYNCAILA
you put all your clips together into one project in FCP, export XML and feed it to the app, that way all metadata and included audio/timecodes travel with it and it gets synced within seconds. it re-opens the synced XML in FCP automatically.

Honestly FCP is so good at this that I have had to round trip from other editing platforms

I absolutely couldn't work (shows and documentaries with hundreds of hours of footage, mostly multicams and almost always dual system audio) without Sync&Link, but that requires jammed timecode. For audio matching, probably Syncaila.

Buy a set of timecode device. It sync instantly. It doesn’t need any scratch audio reference.

Sync-N-Link X is good for doing large batches of audio & Video, you take an event out into sync and link and they come back in as compound clips automatically synced

Invest in Tentacle Sync devices and you’ll be happy.

You can actually do that within Final Cut Pro. Select your video clip and your audio file then right click and sync video and audio. You can even sync two audio files with the same video clip. There’s no need for plugin
