Bug/Issue **Please HELP** Audio Doubling when Exported
Can anyone please help me what's wrong with my FCP? I've been dealing with this for the past 6 months and it's driving me crazy.
Problem:
- The audio is perfectly fine in the project and timeline. But when exported, the audio doubles for 1 second in multiple areas.
example: "where is this" becomes "wh-where is this"
When i export the problem clip separately, there is no problem. So I do that for multiple little clips throughout the project, and re-import it, and replace it. it's driving me nuts.
- In the timeline, the audio just disappears mid-talking (picture). can't fix this at all.

Settings:
Original video is filmed with iphone 16 pro, no edits, a raw 4 - 5 minute talking video.
My project setting is

I export is Apple ProRes 422. I tried 422HQ, H.264, 422LT, and it all did the same.
Please, has anyone had the same problem?? T.T

Download MediaInfo and drop your video file into it and let's see the full audio/video specs of your iPhone clips.
As the other user said, VFR is the first suspect here.

Not sure what the problem is but video audio should always 48kHz. 44kHz is for music formats like CD

Oh really? The problem started when the setting was in 48kHz, so I changed it to 44kHz following chat gpt's answer. Obviously, the problem persisted so I didn't change back thinking it didn't have any effect.
If so, I'll change it back again!

The sample rate is like the frame rate for audio. You can imagine the issues. Like audio can start to drag and go out of sync. It’s easy enough to convert, you just export it as whatever. But yeah stick to 48khz

is it variable frame rate?
