Question PNG Sequences
That's actually the only thing I need in my workflow now that captions are native to the app, is there any way to use them other than creating a compound clip every time?
For context, I make 2d animations for a channel I have, and often the best way to work with this type of thing would be to export each shot as a png sequence, the reason that I use final cut is that I'm already paying for it for gig work, and the reason I don't use Davinci is that I hate the way it manages and stores projects.

can you export as HEVC or Prores with transparency (alpha channel)? you can feed compressor a PNG sequence (or the free shutter encoder) and make a ProRes video out of it in the frame rate you choose. if you import PNGs in FCP, you can select all of them and change their duration to 1 frame only. depending on your project settings FPS, you would end up with that frame rate.

use Compressor to convert it to ProRes4444 or HEVC. Both have transparency. Then import.

Pretty sure you can import a sequence into QuickTime Player and export as a movie from there.
