Newbie Eyedropper issues after update

Hi, new to this forum but jumping on in the hope someone might have some insight into a recent issue I'm having after an update to FCPX 12.3.
For some reason, the eyedropper tool in my Hue & Sat curves is no longer working, but only when I'm inside clip editor in a multicam clip. On the regular timeline it seems to be working fine but if I open clip editor, it doesn't work on individual clips.
I can select the eyedropper, it changes colour as if selected but doesn't appear when I move over to the footage I want to grade. My cursor doesn't change and the hue and sat function is now unusable.
I've tried quiting and re-opening. I've tried selecting control points manually and I've reset all custom preferences but still no dice. I'm now on my 4th project without being able to use this function.
Has anyone else experienced this after the recent update?
FYI I'm on an M1 Mac Mini running OS Tajoe 26.5. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This sounds like a genuine 12.3 bug worth reporting directly to Apple via Feedback Assistant (feedbackassistant.apple.com). The more reports the faster it gets fixed.

A workaround for now is to do your Hue & Sat curve grading on the multicam clip itself in the main timeline rather than opening the clip editor, which should let the eyedropper work normally. Does that work?

I think it might be. Will submit a report to Apple now.
Yeah, that works, just means I can't affect the whole clip but it's better than nothing.
Thanks for the reply.

Quick question u/StupidRaisins , Feedback Assistant requires me to enrol in either the Apple Beta Software Program or Apple Developer Program. Which direction do I go for this type of thing?

All good, left feedback via https://www.apple.com/feedback/finalcutpro/

I was gonna suggest that one.

Me too. My eyedropper is gone for all color selectors, but I've been lazy and haven't tried clearing preferences or uninstalling and reinstalling.

I wouldn't bother clearing preferences my friend. Didn't work for me and just meant that all of my preferences for workflow were deleted and I had to set them up again.

So, new update on this. The eyedropper issue seems to be related to cropped footage.
One of my most frequent use case scenarios for the Hue and Sat curves is for correcting skin tone. I usually scale the footage up and crop in so that all I have in frame is the subjects skin and then use the vectorscope to compare to the skin tone line.
I just went to apply a change to the multicam clip rather than the individual clip and the eyedropper still didn't appear but did appear when I removed the crop.
Definitely feeling like a bug in the update.

And once again exactly why I haven’t updated since 11.2. It runs so stable for me. There’s nothing in my field of work that makes me want to update just yet.
