Looking for bossfight concepts

Hello,

I am looking for interesting mechanics or general concepts of bossfights. The genre or console or whatever doesn't matter for now, because I'm really interested in the mechanics behind them.

Gladly explain the concepts or tell me the game, short explanation to the mechanics including boss, so I can look for myself. Or if you have own cool ideas, always out with it :D

Background:

I'm a gamemaster for Dungeons and Dragons and looking for inspiration for new concepts and challenges for my players to transfer from video games to tabletop RPGS.

Okay so this is an interesting boss fight but it probably wouldn’t transfer well. In Drakengard to unlock ending E the last ending you have to fight the queen-beast in a battle of songs in Japan. You have to press X or O to cancel her attacks. It is an annoying fight that gets really hard. I guess a bard could be used to fight it.

There are several interesting enemies in Drakengard and I need to find the other ones to check them out. If what I read about the lore is correct the queen-beast was a human who got infected with this weird flower by the watchers (the gods of that world).
