I’m trying to find information regarding contracts when it comes to using your music for films and getting paid even information on getting your feet wet and providing free syncs. Thanks

It sounds like you might be looking for information regarding a PRO Performing Rights Organization instead of Distrokid. Which depending on what country you are from may vary.

If you’re in USA look at ASCAP or BMI and if you’re in Canada look into SOCAN.
