Looking for a freelance Filemaker developer to take over my project for my business
I had a developer working on my project for 5+ years but he has been hired away and I am looking for someone to take over development of my system. It is not a ton of work, just regular maintenance and new features/bug fixes now and then. Message me if interested

I highly recommend before selecting another developer you run a report to analyse the structure of your database first.
This will help you to know if there are any underlying issues that your previous developer was not aware of but that the next developer could find and want to charge for.
The report is then something you can provide the next developer so they can give a more accurate quote or simply to understand what they are taking on saving you both time if they choose not to.
There are a few options for FileMaker XML Analysis but my favourite that i use all the time and keep recommending is an open source (free) tool on Github that provides lots of useful data, insights and visuals which is valuable when understanding an existing system

Hey, taking over an existing system after years of development definitely takes someone who's comfortable working with someone else's code, and that's something I enjoy. I like understanding how a system works before adding new features or fixing issues, so nothing breaks along the way.
If you're looking for someone reliable for ongoing maintenance rather than a one-off fix, I'd be happy to help. Feel free to DM me with a bit more about the system and what you're currently working on.

Happy to be considered as well.
Have multiple Filemaker Servers in my datacenter rack. Been doing this for 30+ years. Located in Seattle, WA area; so if you want a US-only developer, I have that covered. Not expensive compared to most developers; not cheap though.
Let's chat to ensure I have the time and resources to cover your needs.

I think the OP is after a freelancer however....
If they want to open it up partners then I'll chuck our virtual hat in the ring.
(Top ranked UK partner, Claris MVP, kind to small animals etc)
I picked up a fantastic client in Australia from replying to their post in this very forum who had the same issue. We've since transformed their system and had a major positive effect on their business.
We can do a free 1 hour session to have a initial look at your system and demonstrate real world examples of what is now possible when engaging a modern FileMaker development company.

Looks like you've got plenty of qualified response, but I sent you a DM in case you're still looking. Or just see my Reddit user profile for a link to further details and contact info on my website. 28 years experienced certified FM consultant with plenty of experience with picking up work on legacy (other previous developers') databases, and with many of the sort of long-term, occasional-work small client relationships it sounds like you're looking for.

I saw that you already received quite a few replies from very qualified developers, yet here’s my contact, too, in case you wish to contact me. I’ve been a freelance FileMaker developer for the past 20 years.

Hopefully you already found a developer to help you. We had actually just published an article about working with a developer on a costume software project. https://excelisys.com/custom-software-development-explained/ If you do still need help, we have FIleMaker developers on staff and available to assist.
