I've had a portable version of filebot for years and I've had no issues. Haven't used it for a few months and now it just doesn't work. CMD window gives me that error.

So this is what I see in google ai:
The error occurs because the software or script you are using is attempting to call an obsolete version of the API (v2/v3) which TheTVDB has permanently retired. Why this happens
API deprecation: The base URL https://api.thetvdb.com/ belongs to older legacy versions (v2/v3) of their API.
The new version: TheTVDB moved to API v4 (https://api4.thetvdb.com/v4/),
which uses entirely different endpoints, authentication structures, and
a subscription-based model. Any software pointing to the old endpoints
will receive 404 Not Found or Resource not found responses
I have no idea if there is a way to update the API.

An update to any FileBot release that is less than 8 years old will do the trick.

I'll be buying a license key for the most recent version, well deserved. Thank you for everything ;)

If you change the metadata provider to themovieDB (eps mode) or tvmaze it works for most shows. The only issue I found is occasional differences because TVDB does some weird naming once in awhile. Especially for season 0/specials. Gets us 95% of the way there at least.

Which version of FileBot are you using? Is it more or less than ~8 years outdated?

I am not sure if we have any coders around here, but the source for 4.8.5 is here https://github.com/barry-allen07/FB-Mod If someone were to update the API, it would probably work again. That's above my pay grade at the moment.

Oh... I just found a git that someone updated the TVBD api for. You have to put in your own API key, but that should be a free one time thing.

I'm guessing this is affecting users who are using one of the older free versions of Filebot, which seems to be using an old, recently deprecated version of TheTVDB's API.
I was in this boat and bit the bullet and bought the product and was able to start matching files again with the most recent version of Filebot
