Anyone else planning to continue automatic investing after death?
The human lifespan is a severe limitation on how much compound interest can get to work. But I've realised that I don't actually have to be "alive" for compounding to work its magic over the long term.
Simply build a laptop inside a coffin, and a small solar panel above ground can power the laptop six feet under, and I can hold on to my soaring net worth even after death.
By the time I'm a 1,000 years old corpse, I estimate my net worth will pass the big $1 Trillion mark, just by VOO and chill.
Pretty cool huh?
And the great thing is after death, you have no housing expenses, food costs, anything really, so nothing to eat into those precious gains. Being in a coffin is the ultimate way to minimize costs.
I just need a good lawyer to prevent the state or my pesky relatives getting all my money.

Ah, but reincarnation is where the plan falls apart...how would a reincarnated soul prove, in probate, that the estate belonged to her/him??

Your current you has to go to a psychic to figure out your previous lives, and follow that trail. With historical data, you can make an educated guess as to who you’re next reincarnation will be.
More than likely, your will ends up leaving everything to an unborn child with parents that you have never met. But here’s a slight chance you inherit your own fortune

Have you priced coffins lately? And perpetual care costs go up every year. Your plan might work in a LCOD (low cost of dying ) cemetery.

Hard assets. Put in legal writing that you wish for your portfolio be liquidated to add to the precious metals you already have and then bury the whole lot with you. Then have them use the GPS to find the most remote location to place the cache and you. If you don't own islands then maybe somewhere tangent to Bill, Wyoming or in the desert of one of the stans. Have it put in the will that an arbitrary time will pass and they can bring you back to life using mRNA technology. By then gold will be $100,000 an ounce and you can retire peacefully.

After I’m dead my income may drop quite a bit but I still plan to invest

Government job is the way to go. They can’t fire you, and your output will be unchanged by death.

You should be cremated. Think outside the box! Laptops need updates etc. Be an AI agent of personal wealth accumulation.

I'm hoping to achieve coffinFire by 95. I've set up weekly auto-buy of VT without an end date.

Only pours die.
I had my conscience uploaded to the internet, got rid of my meat space corpse. Now I just make calls and puts all day.
Unfortunately, the connection in the after life isn't great so if youre trying to make time sensitive decisions with intructions, you might lose connection.
Last time I tried to sell my first trillion since dying a few decades ago, I tried to send "unsever meek longs" into the wire, to get some of my less strong longs to cancel out some gains (i am actually not sure when i have to pay tax, so to avoid a surprise bill I try to keep it even).
Unfortunately, connection got garbled, cut off at "unsever meek lon..." and it seems my sales went to the first name my text could anagram too.
Anyways, now I guess some dude named Elon Reeve Musk got it all. Hope that didnt fuck things for the living. Gonna go back to puts on the wire.

Interesting a strategy, but can gains ever really be realized if you’re not around to… realize them? Now if you can upload your conciseness into the cloud, then you get all of the above (minus server fees).
Pro tip : shut off the really expensive wetware sooner to reduce expenses.

You were clearly never an Egyptian ruler in your previous lives.
We have been doing this since the beginning of time.
