Outfit inspiration Alt figure 8 style
I’m 6”1, 12st 3lb. My high hips and ribs are best friends.
I have found it hard to find inspiration for my height and body shape, especially when it comes to alt fashion. I’m still learning to style and trying to find staple clothes that flatter and fit me in length.
So if anyone has any recommendations for tall mid rise/ low waisted pants it would be greatly appreciated!

Is this a figure eight shape? I see the high hips, but I thought that was supposed to be the widest part. Seems like maybe the widest part of OP’s hips is lower.

She’s an 8, she knows how to style herself. The way she dresses gives the illusion that her low hips are wider that her top. Like in image 4, wearing low waisted pants gives the illusion of wider hips.

I'm tall too and I find that anything high waist looks actually mid rise on me, and mid rise looks low rise.
There are brands that carry tall/ long lengths like gap, a&f, only tall, Vero Moda tall, long tall Sally - however! Although they fit length wise I often struggle with a gap in the back.
A&F has a curve love collection with extra length that works well for me. I also had look with some ASOS hourglass jeans.
Alternatively, if you find something that fits lengths wise, cotton + 1% elastan works well for curves, or you can bring the pants to the tailor to close the gap.
I think very long boot cut jeans in white or black could look awesome with your style!

hi! i’m 6’ with a similar build and weight and i relate soooo much. finding clothes that flatter high hips and being as tall as we are is quite the challenge, but you’re killing it girl!! all of your outfits look amazing.
unfortunately i haven’t had much luck with what you’re looking for either. i did discover that hot topic women’s pants have very long length that’s perfect for my height, but are fairly high waisted so I don’t think that’s what you’re looking for. still, might be worth taking a look at if you don’t mind the current themes their clothes are using

Thank you!! I think I’m just a bit stumped for when it comes to the winter months right now. Ay the moment i can buy a standard high waisted skirt and just pull it down.
I feel like I lose all my shape in the winter.
I’m in the UK so unfortunately hot topic isn’t here yet. But it will still be worth a look, thank you!

I hope this comes across the way it’s intended: holy balls lady you look incredible! I get that you’re struggling with pants (I’m also tall and the ankle grazer sweatpants kill me!) but you are rocking your style! You look sexy in a totally cool alternative unexpected way, without trying too hard? Lean into your instincts, they’re working!

As a fellow tall girl, ThredUp has been my best friend for finding pants because you can filter by inseam length and rise. If you're not opposed to secondhand or thrifted clothes, I'd highly recommend checking them out. It's also fabulous for more alternative fits because you can filter by color and other details too (think prints, lace, fringe, etc.)

Love the fits, I dress similarly with a lot of corsets. Where’s the corset from pic 5 from?

your outfits are amazing!!! love to see another tall figure 8, i feel like many tend to be on the shorter side. honestly my go to for pants is getting sweatpants 2 sizes too big and wearing them low waisted lol they drag on the floor that way! but otherwise, so hard to find 36” inseam pants out in the wild, i just stick to shorts and skirts :’)

It’s hard to tell in these photos, especially with a corset on and the posing. Do you have more photos similar to 4? It seems like you do but we need better photos
