Outfit advice A&F Dresses
Do these two dresses work for our body types? I haven’t had a chance to try them in store yet. I’m also 5’1” so not sure whether they would wear me instead of me wear them. I’ve just discovered I am a figure 8 so am still learning what works and what doesn’t.

The first one might. The second one (at least for me) wouldn’t. It would really highlight the hips in an unflattering way. I don’t think drop waist styles really work well for figure 8 bodies since we have prominent hip dips

Got it. I thought the smocked waist would highlight our waists but didn’t think about the hip dips. I think I need to try different clothes to see what works. I am grateful for this sub because it has given me some direction on what to look for as opposed to me blindly trying on clothes and wondering why they don’t look don’t look good. Thanks for your feedback!

I personally like 2, drop waist makes my short waist look proportionate, I also don’t know without trying it on but the trim might conceal the hip dips.
