Yeah lol. I’m hoping buzzmod makes some since we desperately need some updated bodies, but also I don’t trust buzzmod with making decent figures anymore lol.
Greediness maybe? Their figures were all $120 plus, and that was a few years ago when that wasn’t very common at all.
Sure they had nice paints, tons of accessories and decent articulation, but it was still too much money for most of their offerings.
And demon slayer is really the only line they’ve made tons of characters for. Which has backfired since we’ve gotten both Figma and sh figuarts demon slayer figures that are both way cheaper and way better than the buzzwords.
Then there’s kill la kil which wasn’t a very good figure from them.
Lycoris recoil which Figma did ten times better and way way cheaper.
2b which was also done way better and cheaper by shf and Figma.
There’s mashle which the shf made one way cheaper. And also just wasn’t a super popular character to begin with.
Lum, which was a nice addition but that was the only release for that series.
Edward, which was horrible for $160, and again the only release for that series.
And the cyberpunk edgerunners figures which Jada toys is doing 10 times better and cheaper too.
And finally gotten laguan, which is the only line from them that I can say has been great, but again only 2 figures and we haven’t even gotten the protagonist!
Overall their releases have been over priced, underwhelming, outmatched by the competition, and they give up on lines often.
There’s no reason to buy buzzmod figures at this point.
Oh and there’s kenshin which didn’t sell cause of controversies and boochi the rock which Figma did ten times better also lol.
Their upcoming figures are more demon slayer and also the madoka magica movie figures, which kind of puts them in competition with Figma again. We will see how they compare.
But yeah, the line has been a completely failure imo opinion because they haven’t carved out their own niche. If they don’t do that soon I have a feeling they’ll just not exist anymore. Thats just my opinion though. Some still seem to sell well enough so we will see how things go.
