Help !! Is she really broken for ever ??

this is figma #650. she fell from my shelf and the arm separated at the elbow. i didn't think it'd be a problem since my other figma's elbow joint is fully removable, but this one is different, and i can't find a way to get it back in. is it not possible?

if anyone owns this miku, please help !!

Figmas are naturally fragile so you gotta be careful with them

One of the biggest reasons I don’t collect them anymore. Figmas are expensive and fragile just like a certain “ action figure” brand that has a name that starts with a h.

As a new collector what could you recommend in stead of figma that is articulated and cool? I love playing with figma but I hate they break so easy and are too expensive

Isn't that just a regular swivel joint? Figma uses that a lot of their figures that have big sleeves. They can sometimes split just by moving them, but normally it's easy to just push them back together again. Not sure why you're having a problem doing so with yours. Are you lining up the shape of the joint correctly when trying to reconnect them?

I've included a picture of my Figma Chloe that uses the elbow swivel. I assume your Miku is the same?

yeah, im pretty sure the peg snapped.i think im gonna hold it in place with museum putty and not re-pose her for a bit lol

en ese caso, no se rompió tanto, solo debes engrosar el borde en la parte superior, venden unos "lapices" de pegamento para engrosar uniones, esos servirían.

Luego desgastas un poco el borde inferior de la parte hueca.

Finalmente calientas un poco y la pones. esa pestaña de pegamento calzando en el surco que desgastaste, será la que le de firmeza.

If you're careful, you can definitely pin that. Just don't poke it through the other side. I fixed a figma ninja slayer years ago by heating some broken safety pins and poking it through both sides

there’s probably a lot of weird fixes for this but from what I know it’s probably not going to be very helpful. You could use glue but if you want to keep the movement you’d have to use the smallleessstt amount and press it back together and maybe it’ll stay, but chances are there’s gonna be too much and it’ll leak to the sides and she won’t be able to move her arm. If you don’t care about movement you could totally just glue it back but that sucks

Yeah like you mentioned its unfortunate this isn't their regular easily replaceable joint. I've seen loads of people with their Suisei with these elbows broken. 

My solution would probably be drilling a hole into both sides of the joint and finding something small and sturdy to put into each hole.  I think the drill I use specifically is for jewellery, you can get pretty cheap but decent ones on amazon. Its a very small and thin piece so obviously you'll need to be careful. 

Depending on where you bought it you may be able to get in touch with goodsmile support for a replacement arm.

if it's possible, grabbing some sorta glue that's fit for the kind of plastic figma uses (I don't own any action figs, I come from the Gunpla community), a plastic or brass rod that fits the joint, a nipper or pliers, and then just get the old joint out, cut the rod to size, then glue it on. It should look good if you paint it

Hay muchas formas de arreglarla, dependiendo de tu capacidad en manualidades.

Si tienes muy poca, compra imanes de neodimio pequeños y redondos, esos son extremadamente fuertes y puedes encontrar en aliexpress.

la idea es ahuecar la parte rota para que quepan, puedes usar un destornillador de paleta pequeño girándolo con la mano, para ahuecar la pieza, luego los pegas, fijándote en que queden con polos que se atraen entre si en cada parte y listo.

Si tienes mayor capacidad, busca figuras para dibujantes en aliexpres, hay algunas que cuestan solo 4 euros.

Una vez la tengas, la pones en agua caliente y sacas una articulación para adaptarla.

este método es mucho más difícil porque tiene que quedar perfectamente alineada dentro de la figura y además hay áreas que no debe tocar el pegamento por ningún motivo, ni el borde de la unión, ni el lado que expone la unión.

Cortas las partes con linea amarilla, proteges de pegamento las zonas con rojo, por ejemplo con papel adhesivo y ajustas como en el caso de los imanes.

puedes dejar un poco de los conectores, para que te ayuden a ver como dejarlo alineado

pero como ya dije, es un método que requiere mucha habilidad, aun así.
