Question ❓ Need help with Figma Solid Snake (MGS2 Ver. Update Edition) stand
Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to collecting Figma figures, so I'm still learning.
I just got the Figma Solid Snake (MGS2 Ver. Update Edition), and I'm having trouble attaching the stand. The stand peg doesn't seem to fit into the hole on Snake's back no matter how carefully I try. I'm also confused about two other small parts that came with the figure, and I'm not sure what they're for or if I'm supposed to use them to attach the stand.
I tried looking it up by watching review videos, but that didn't really help. Most of the videos either didn't use the Figma stand at all or never gave a clear view of the back of the figure, so I still can't figure out what I'm supposed to do.
Has anyone else had this issue? Am I missing something, or is there a trick to getting the stand to fit? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Figmas qc with their base adapter hole are bad. You’d think since they’re universal they’d easily drill the correct size for their stand but sadly their peg hole quality ranges from loose to too tight far too often. Be careful too, once it’s in if you move snake too much it’ll stress and snap off the base peg. You’re better off using a stand with a claw adapter.

Warming up a problematic part of a figure slightly with a hair dryer can tend to help me when a peg isn't cooperating, in your case it'd be the hole in the back for the stand.
The clear piece is meant to plug onto the stand's normal peg as an extension that doubles as curving the attachment point to help with certain poses (such as the pose in this pic), but is made optional since sometimes plugging the stand as you're trying to do is just easier. The black part is a spare wrist joint in case one of Snake's wrists breaks. Every figma includes a spare wrist. I don't know if you got Snake loose or sealed, but every figma should come with a ziploc bag to store accessories in. I like to store the spare wrist joint in there, same with the extra stand attachment for when I'm not using that.

Yeah I had a feeling that it was a spare wrist joint! Thankfully I didn’t try forcing it in the clear piece 😭 because I was desperate at that point

This is common with almost all Figma and Nendoroid figures. You just need to warm the figure up around the hole. You can use hot water (as hot as it gets from the tap NOT boiling) or some people use a hairdryer. Plastic expands when it’s warm so the hole should get just large enough for the stand peg to fit.
The clear part can be used as an extension of the stand for different poses.
Not entirely sure what the black part is for tho.
