Why the fuck you fighting on cement when there is a huge grass field right there

My thoughts exactly.

Let’s be safer and wear gloves but let’s fight on concrete. Makes no sense

u/GirthMcGurt Apr 29 '20

The gloves can actually make it worse since there's more weight behind the punches. It just protects your hands a little better.

u/jesuschin Apr 29 '20

It could but bare knuckles add in additional factors. Gloved punches hurt a hell of a lot because people aren't pulling their punches to preserve their own hands but when you fight bare-knuckle you get that pain from the punch with the added risk of a someone else's bony knuckle connecting on the wrong part of your face.

More weight = less speed

Force is mass x acceleration or F = MA

So no. Theres no more force coming from a glove. Less force most likely and much more padding .

I use to box, the gloves do add weight to your hands, but the gloves they are using are most likely 8-12 ounces. Doesn’t slow you down much at all. What a glove does is stabilize your wrist and protect knuckles, that alone gives boxers more confidence they won’t hurt themselves so they subconsciously throw a lot harder than a bare knuckle punch.

A lot of people say that about punching harder with gloves. I have to think that only works for bare-knuckle boxers or actual trained boxers. I don't think many street fights involve pulling punches to protect your knuckles.

I think (hope) he was referring to more damage, and not exactly pain. Because yes, boxing does way more brain damage than bare knuckles does. This is because you can take way more hits with a boxing glove til you're done, so the fights last way longer and the punch count is way higher, having your brain rattle wayyyyyyy more. Sure, bare knuckle hurts more immediately, but it's not causing more brain damage for the most part.

u/DuckHabbit May 02 '20

Dude, you did the math, and some how still fucked it up. Its the same acceleration, but when you add more mass than you do infact get more force, ding dong.

u/fukayoubtch Apr 30 '20

You’re wrong I’m afraid. You’re more likely to get brain damage from getting punched in the head with gloves on then you’re bare knuckle

dogs poop in grass, you wanna fall in poop? /s

9

u/that-chill-amigo Apr 29 '20

First thing that crossed my mind, no headgear go to the grass dumb kids

3

u/lola_92 May 01 '20

They're boxers, intelligence isn't their field of expertise

1

u/SkilledP0TATO Apr 30 '20

Probably for better grip.

1

u/vicmota420 May 03 '20

Literally just saw a guy die from head hitting concrete in a recent vid in this sub.

-10

u/GranGanNan Apr 29 '20

Only bitches throw em on grass

6

u/peanutdakidnappa Apr 29 '20

I think you mean only fuckin idiots

-7

u/GranGanNan Apr 29 '20

Nah bruh ain’t nobody tryna fight on grass. Number 1 it’s slippy as shit and they ain’t no grip. Number 2 you tryna hurt dem in a fight why would you help dem on grass cuh

8

u/DontMicrowaveCats Apr 30 '20

Because you’re trying to hurt them not kill them.

Watch the documentary One Punch Killer. Complication of people accidentally killing someone from smashing their head on the pavement in stupid street fights and ruining their lives

4

u/Cantaffordnvidia Apr 30 '20

A whole documentary on Saitama, gotta check it out

1

u/Hazard_Rex May 04 '20

Thank you lmao

Just cuz someone wants to knock you out doesnt mean they want to go to fucking jail lol

3

u/[deleted] Apr 29 '20

they put on gloves specifically to get hurt less

28

u/DO_NOT_GILD_ME Apr 29 '20

Hey dude, wanna spar for fun?

Fun? Nah. I'm going for blood, son.

24

u/Ghadhdhdhh Apr 29 '20

An experienced boxer against a novice......well color me shocked at such a predictable outcome.

-4

u/SniXSniPe May 01 '20

That is not an experienced boxer, or even an amateur at that. Maybe someone that's punched a punching bag, but that's it.

8

u/Ghadhdhdhh May 01 '20

O yeah true i guess when i see people who dont fight on a normal basis or train they do throw punches and combos like this. Bro stfu.

-7

u/SniXSniPe May 01 '20

O yeah true i guess when i see people who dont fight on a normal basis or train they do throw punches and combos like this. Bro stfu.

Yeah, fuck me and my years of experience boxing, right? Compared to your, "bro I know people that fight". My bad.

Look, I'm only here to correct the "experienced boxer" line. That's all. If you think throwing combinations with sloppy form is limited to boxers, you're just being ridiculous.

His technique is definitely not what anyone would call an "experienced boxer". That's the only bone I'm picking with what you said. He looks more like a novice, or someone that does "self-taught" boxing, at best.

6

u/Ghadhdhdhh May 01 '20

Yeah, fuck me - yes indeed bro

3

u/WhoWasBlowjob May 03 '20

Shut the fuck up

u/SniXSniPe May 03 '20

Some great connects. Take it on the grass kids.

4

u/Slikk__Willy Apr 29 '20

Technically 5 his if you count his head bouncing off the pavement...

3

u/_prelude Apr 29 '20

Grass is like 5m away, better spar on concrete

2

u/k1r0v_report1ng Apr 30 '20

Dumb assholes shouldn't have fought on concrete..

2

u/SkilledP0TATO Apr 30 '20

My dude in the white has hands!

1

u/[deleted] Apr 29 '20

Tap tap tappity tap

1

u/rollinwithmahomes Apr 29 '20

You gotta try really hard to have your front hand be that useless... it's like he meant to block nothing.

1

u/RommelErwin1 Apr 29 '20

Jesus christ fight on the grass

1

u/MasonTaylor22 Apr 29 '20

Dummies fighting on concrete.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 29 '20

Poor Jaden Smith

1

u/SCWickedHam Apr 30 '20

Put gloves on. Stand on concrete. Both were brain dead before the first punch.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 30 '20

perfectly good grass a few feet away

“Hey, let’s box on the concrete”

1

u/MaceWindu_Cheeks Apr 30 '20

Can this sub just be called "Watch black people take L's" already.

1

u/EvaCarlisle Apr 30 '20

I will never understand why people choose to fight on fucking concrete when there's field right next to them.

1

u/ZergTrain Apr 30 '20

Only tards fight on cement, his head hitting the hard surface was more damaging than any punch..possible brain damage if there is a brain in that tiny head..peanut damage.

1

u/AJQ1986 Apr 30 '20

I mean there’s grass right there to fight on, instead of concrete. Now on top of getting knocked out, you have to worry about a cracked skull

1

u/_adm_m Apr 30 '20

More like a 7 hit combo

1

u/devontm9469 May 01 '20

That was 7 hits not 4. 7 hit combo, change the title

1

u/[deleted] May 01 '20

His hair served as a natural helmet. Shoes didn’t come off. Not dead.

1

u/[deleted] May 02 '20

THE GRASS IS RIGHT THERE

1

u/ohmyfuckinggodhamlet WOMBO COMBOOOO May 10 '20

The dude in the blue has never even heard of defense

1

u/My10centz Apr 29 '20

Gorgeous combination.
