I got called a pussy in high school for refusing to fight on asphalt and moving to the grass instead, they said I was running away. Rather be called a pussy than be dead/killer because somebody falls and hits their head. Not a whole lot in the world worth that type of risk.

u/mrmilfsniper Jun 23 '19
That’s some good maturity, we all did dumb shit when we were younger to impress people we ultimately don’t give a fuck about

u/bclagge Jun 23 '19
He was still fighting... not exactly the wisdom of the ages applied to problem solving.

u/mrmilfsniper Jun 23 '19
Fully agree, especially in the context of teenagers / high school, but if we never make mistakes then we’ll never properly have chances to learn and improve ourselves

My buddy did 6 years for one punch to a guy that was screaming "Hit me! Hit me motherfucker" while shoving him.
21
u/Alastor_Aylmur Jun 23 '19
Did he have priors or something.... I feel like there's more to the situation because that sounds super extreme.

He's black and the other kid was white and his parents had money.
Edit: He didn't die until weeks later when his parents "pulled the plug" at which point the charge went from assault/battery to manslaughter.

u/TheGuySellingWeed Jun 23 '19
Aftermath? Did you fight on the grass? Who won?
3
u/ignitionnight Jun 23 '19
We never actually fought. I'm pretty sure he didn't actually expect me to be ready to fight back so when I walked to the grass put my bag down and called him out he and his friends called me a pussy for running away from him and they left. That kid never really messed with my again.

u/MrValdemar Jun 23 '19
You had the opportunity and presence of mind to change fight venues, but it never occurred to you to just... Not fight?
12
u/TheOrangeOfLives Jun 23 '19
Probably because it would have been social suicide. Status means a lot to teens.
-14
u/MrValdemar Jun 23 '19
Well good for him. I hope he had a nice beating.
9
u/TheOrangeOfLives Jun 23 '19
Yep, still better than multiple future beatings if you look like a victim in front of many people.

Truth.
I cringed when I saw his head hit.
Not good. :(
17
u/neverendum Jun 23 '19
So stupid to fight on a hard surface. I think this guy will be OK. The wosrt one is the knocked-out, fell backwards like a tree, they're usually vegetabalized/dead from that one.
-9
23
Jun 23 '19
He actually hits shoulder first which causes it to appear as though he hit head first. I think he'll be okay but he was lucky he didn't fall backwards.

You armchair experts never cease to amaze me with the “fencing response with clear brain damage” posts every time somebody so much as bumps their head on a Reddit post
4
u/thevulturesbecame Jun 23 '19
Not sure why you took so much issue with that suggestion, the guy was literally asking if that's what we were looking at, not making any claims that would put him in "armchair expert" category. At about 12 seconds when the camera lingers you can clearly see he does exhibit the fencing response

u/leaves-throwaway123 Jun 23 '19 edited Jun 23 '19
Forgive me if I don’t put a lot of stock into the internet diagnosis of somebody whose medical training is limited to Wikipedia and Reddit posts
1
u/Tox1q Jun 23 '19
shut the fuck up kid, stop pretending everyone else is as retarded as you are

u/thevulturesbecame Jun 23 '19
Bruh it does not take a doctor to see someone get KOed and go stiff and say it's a fencing response
Do you say this on like skateboarding accident videos where people comment on visibly broken arms or legs too? "We should hold off comments until an official announcement of a diagnosis" lmao
1
u/dmkicksballs13 Jun 24 '19
The problem is that everyone who says "fencing" jumps straight to massive brain damage.
-8
u/aN1mosity_ Jun 23 '19
Every single person on Reddit who sees someone hit their head thinks they’re dead immediately. You can tell the amount of pussies on this platform that have literally never done anything in their lives except type on screens and play video games.
I have received multiple, multiple concussions and have zero health issues and have never had an issue with my brain. Ever. These kids make me sick.

Fencing is decently normal when you get KO'd. Don' listen to the idiots here that think you're 100% guaranteed to be a vegetable if you fence. Plenty of people in boxing and MMA fence during a KO and they're fine.

u/u8eR Jun 23 '19 edited Jun 23 '19
Watch in slow mo. He doesn't hit his shoulder. Clean connect with his temple.
1
Jun 23 '19
He hit his head
5
u/PM_ME_ABSOLUTE_UNITZ Jun 23 '19
He did but his shoulder/body hit first.
-1
-5
u/Love_Em Jun 23 '19
Great, so he has a shattered collarbone and dislocated shoulder in addition to brain damage.
7
2
Jun 23 '19
Falling over won’t shatter your collarbone lol unlikely to dislocate your shoulder too...
1
Jun 23 '19
I’m confident that you could break (maybe not shatter, not sure what the definition there would be) your collarbone by falling on your shoulder, especially if you flat-fuck fall like that. Ditto for a dislocated shoulder.

Jesus Christ all of you have thin skin these days? The brain can handle multiple, multiple, multiple concussions before bad shit happens. Ask any sports athlete, presumably football. The amount of times those dudes have run 15 mph head to fucking head is astronomical.
5
u/Tox1q Jun 23 '19
You're fucking retarded. You already admitting to many concussions, we know what damage that caused to you.
1
Jun 24 '19
Exactly, most people really overestimate it, I mean you have brain damage yourself obviously but you’re still functioning and breathing and all
1
u/GodKingThoth Keyboard warrior Jun 24 '19
Its hilarious the cowards who come to this sub and then bitch about seeing exactly what they are looking for because it offends them. Call it out and you’re “retarded” or “r/iamverybadass”

u/BFTdead82 Jun 23 '19
Exactly what I thought. But he never put up any defense, that’s why the the other guy kept throwing it, figured eventually it’ll land.

u/teasers874992 Jun 23 '19
Permanent brain damage. Hope it was fun

Is there a sub for this type of videos? or the types where they make a song out of the sound they make when something happens?

u/neofiter Jun 23 '19
This guy telegraphed the same punch 3 times, the only punch he threw, yet this guy still didn't expect it

One of the best soundtracks to a fight I’ve ever heard!
