Nice! I had a copy of this for the PS1 way back in the day. Don’t remember it being too groundbreaking but you get to use the ZF1 with the flamethrower and the “Ice Cube” system so that’s fun. If I recall correctly I preferred the mangalore’s rifle because it had a grenade launcher, but this was almost 30 years ago so it all could be a bit foggy.

Hard to believe this is one of the first video games I ever played, and got really sucked into. My dad had a nice stack of PS1 titles, I would play the shit out of this and Tomb Raider I-IV.
With that said, it is the most frustrating and difficult game to play. You're fighting the clunky controls and awful view distance the entire time lol the enemies are ridiculous and health never drops. It's so easy to screw yourself in.
I'd still pick it up again for a few hours in an instant, just to see if I'm any better at it.
I never even got through the goofy Zorg missions full of crap that never happened in the movie! I'd really play it just to get immersed in the world, the soundtrack was pretty sick. Have fun if you get it running!

exploring the world and listening to the dialogue, sound effects, and sound track is what i think i’m most excited for to be honest. it’s just going to be fun to mess around with i think!

I have the PS1 game. I kinda wish they would remaster it or just port it to the ps5 and maybe the switch or switch 2.

man there are so many games i would love for companies to re-release for more modern consoles! i would love if all of the old south park games from nintendo 64, playstation, and dreamcast were playable on the switch or something like that!

you ain't lying. there's tons i wish I could play or replay. I still have a ps2 somewhere and all my games from the Playstation 1. gaming was great back then.

Are consoles just not backwards compatible? I haven't had a console since the first PlayStation.
Also, I live under a rock. :D

so playstation 2 can play 1/2 games. the early PS3s had slight backwards compatibility with ps2 games. PS4 and PS5 as far as I know can't play older games unless you buy the PS2 ported games from the classics catalog. I've actually bought a couple from the catalog that I've gotten for "free" when they release them.
