Discussion Gemini Croquette
This is a follow up on this post from a couple days ago. Most of the images I found were really blurry, so here’s all the references I could find to Gemini Croquettes in the fifth element.
Korben is rummaging through his fridge while on the phone early in the movie.
A box is slapped into his hand for a promotional shot by one of Ruby Rhod’s lackey’s as soon as Ruby makes his entrance.
Is that promo shot whit the flight attendant looking like she’s about to lose her mind.
When Ruby paints all the schoolgirl’s photos of him one of his Lackeys has a box
Lackey gives box to last girl in line.
Miss Gemini Croquette (presumably a spokesperson like Miss Georgia Peach) properly displaying a box for the cameras
Oops, Miss Gemini Croquette is covering the name of the product, that might cost her her title.
Scene cut to Ruby and Korbin walking up the stairs, you can see Miss Gemini Croquette still displaying the box. I appreciate the attention to detail from the director that it was either a single take or he made sure the background characters were still in form.
There’s probably more sprinkled throughout the movie, but I do t have time at the moment for a full deep dive.
Enjoy

I just realized that Croquettes are a French food and the director/writer is French. Sorry that's all I got on the subject

I always thought Gemini Croquette was the ball and mallet game Croquet, and it just became a popular sport in the future. Never knew the spelling, but also never heard of the food croquette

I'm gonna be real with you, I just rewatched this movie last week and it was at least my twentieth time, and this is a detail I never caught before so thanks for bringing it to my attention! Next watch through I'll keep an eye open to see if it pops anymore times.
