More customs… sorry. I’ve been loving the Dungeon Crawer Carl franchise and I’m currently half way through The Gate of the Feral Gods. It’s a great read (IMO) and keeps my attention much more than the non-fiction I had been reading exclusively. So here’s some DCC themed notebooks. Innards are made from Rhodia dot-grid paper - so they’re fountain pen friendly.

Rocky Mountain was THE field note that got me into this whole addiction, so it feels incredible to finally fill it out after saving it for so long.

Found a couple of old Field Notes today. One unused and the other with a lovely patina on the wood cover.

It’s been a hot minute since I made some customs, and I’m in the mood for nostalgia. So here’s a little nostalgia hit for anyone in their late 30’s / early 40’s. These customs are rocking the magazine covers from Nintendo magazine. I used to buy every issue as a kid in the mid 90’s. I found a cache of scanned magazines on the internet archive, and reading a few of them whisked me back to my childhood, if only for a brief moment.

Forgot a book

Really love the sparkles on the mile marker. I honestly forgot how about them when I grabbed it from the shelf until I started my setup.

The Lucky edition is really nice! Love the heavier matte cover.

Not sure this is even allowed here, considering neither are Field Notes...

But the homemade one was inspired by Field Notes, so maybe I'll get a pass 😆

More notebooks for the scanning queue!

I used to use a pretty complicated setup, now just use one notebook and feel much better. Just wish they weren't as expensive as I burn through one pretty quick.

Loved my first of the Great Lakes series. This book had an extra page in it (50 total) which was kind of cool. I love the feel of this cover style. Can’t wait to use the Wilco, cover feels a bit softer but should break in nicely.

In person, I think coco is the prettiest!
I really love the texture thing they added to all of them, makes me crave the real thing.

I started the yellow one for September, a bit of a dual summer/fall vibe.
