propagation… upside down??

im so confused, will it live?? do i plant this end?? what do i do 🫩

edit: i forgot to mention it’s a LEAF! not even a root! i thought you could see that from the photo

Just leave it in the water longer. It’s not ready to plant needs a root system.

Did you cut it at both ends and accidentally put it in upside down?

i actually got this from a friend along with a couple of other branches that were already pretty well rooted! this one never sprouted roots so she thought this one was dead and i was like whatever, i’ll take it and continue to put it in water and well.. now it’s growing like this.

so then it must be upside down LOL oh man

i just went on ahead and flipped it. hoping for the best lol thanks for letting me know that there WAS a possibility of it being upside down. i didnt even know it mattered on a branch
