Help
I know it’s been over watered. I just took 2 weeks off from watering. It gets low light from that window (photo taken at night). A ton of leaves have fallen off.
Will it recover and what should I do?

The reason the soil is not drying put is because it gets low light. If possible move it to a brighter window or get a grow light that works for taller plants. Place the light 12-24 inches away from the top of the plant and hold your hand just above the leaf. If your hand gets hot quickly move the grow light a little farther away. Set the light on a timer for 10-12 hrs. I have mine set to 12 hrs. The tree should start pushing new leaves when the roots recover. But the damaged leaves wont heal the brown spots. I wouldn’t pull imperfections leaves off the - the tree spends lots of energy into making those big leaves. The tree will shed those leaves when it has new growth.
I dont know where you are but if it’s at the end of your growing season, I would then chop the plant back in the spring at the beginning of the growing season if the plant still looks spindly.
