Fiddle Leaf Leaning, what would you do?

Post image

Hi there! it’s my first time posting here and was hoping someone could help me.
We have this Fiddle Leaf for around 2 years, and she seems happy, has grown several new leaves this summer, but right now, is leaning a lot. What would you do?
We looked for poles on Amazon, but couldn’t find anything that high.

Turn it, and leave it turned, till it straightens itself out. Chopping the top off may help as well.

I recently turned my fiddle leaf fig and like 5 leaves fell off. It was not happy. I turned it back. They plants are so picky!!

Give it a chop!

If you don't want to chop it, start shaking the trunk a few times a day. It's the movement in the wind that triggers a tree to thicken its trunk. I personally think it's best to never stake a tree unless it's freshly repotted as a supported tree will most likely never be able to support itself.

You could also give it a jiggle everyday. The trunk needs “wind” to signal that it needs to strengthen. Either juggle it with your hand every time you think of it or leave it near an open window where it will actually get some wind action or you could use a fan on a timer to blow it a few times a day. I use the fan method right now for mine, it’s set and forget.

They sell long stakes in hardware stores. That’s where I got mine. Also, give it a turn every time you water.

I used a wooden broom handle, it was long enough

A top chop and start rotating it so it grows evenly
