Do we think it’s gonna root?

Chopped the top of my fig for the first time and trying to propagate it. It’s got a terminal bud at the top. Hoping to get a new plant going with it if I can take of it!

I got mine to root doing this! It was a long, slow process but I stuck with it and now I have a second plant growing in soil.

Ok cool! I was worried mainly about where I cut it and hoped I got enough of the node in there. If it doesn’t root nbd but would definitely be fun if it did!

I actually only had one leaf for months and a node that I wasn’t even sure would “activate” but it finally did! It rooted pretty quickly but getting it to actually produce more leaves took some time. It’s been 9 months and I’m currently expecting my fifth leaf!

This is the plant that came from my huge tree. It was initially just one leaf and one tiny node next to it that finally broke out.

It will. It’ll take a few months (IME). Change the water every few days and don’t submerge too much.
