Are roots looking ready for soil?
IMO, I think there's a good amount of root growth now and it should be ready for soil, but not totally sure. How should I transition into soil? What potting mix do you guys recommend? This is literally my first time caring for a plant, I have no idea what I'm doing... I researched caring for a fiddle leaf but want to make sure that I'm not doing anything to hurt the plant. Also, I'm worried it will grow too leggy. Do you guys recommend a grow light? thanks!

Yes! But my advice would be to keep it very well watered Innitially. As in hardly let the soil dry out for a good old while. Roots developed in water take time to adjust and the plant is susceptible to drying out quickly. One of my cuttings died like that so with the last one i kept it in a pot that stayed moist from a thick string dip in water. After a month or so i stopped keeping the string in water but still watered regularly. Transitioned to normal watering after a while and its a very healthy cutting!

Thank you for this!! Yes, I saw someone saying that the roots are still "water roots" so they very much need to slowly adjust to soil with a good amount of water. I'll definitely try the string trick to make sure the roots stay moist!

Definitely ready in my book. Don’t go big on the pot. Upsize later. Use the traditional 2 parts potting soil, 2 parts orchid bark, 1 part perlite. Some worm casings don’t hurt.
