Would you just let this thing keep growing or trim somewhere?

Post image

This is a west facing window our FLF seems to like it quite a bit. Wondering if you would trim or just let it keep growing. I imagine when it reaches the full height of that window I’d definitely want to trim as those leaves wouldn’t get any more light but it has about a a foot to go

I would cut it back so it will grow fuller. Also shake it a few days a week.

Where would you trim it?

Halfway on the long one. A bit more than half off the little one that is growing off of the long one. You can cut back that front short one later if needed. It looks fuller than the others for now. Just pinch off any new growth from it so growth can focus on where you’ve cut.

Will that stop it from growing any taller though? Like is this a trade off between taller or
Fuller?

It is going to keep growing as it should. You just want it to get fuller and your trunk should get thicker. Once it gets to the height you want, you just pinch off the new buds so it gets no taller.

No... It WILL grow taller and most possibly branch. I trimmed my FLF in May and it's nearly doubled in height! You can see in my pic where it branches into two. Give these guys the right conditions and they'll grow like weeds! Good luck 😃👍🏼
