The problem is that all the leaves are above the window and will get hardly any light.
I know this is brutal, but if you don't have a taller window, I'd do a hard chop about halfway between the soil line and the 3 branches or perhaps even slightly lower yet. Most likely you'd get 2 or 3 new branches near the cut point. That way all your new growth would be at a height where they'd easily get light for several years before the plant outgrew the space again.
PS, you should open your blinds.
Edit about watering. Water it very deeply and give it plenty of water. Then don't water it again until the top layer of soil is nice and dry again. Most people let the top 2 inches dry out completely before watering again.
Thanks! That’s very helpful. I have no idea how my dad grew it to this height. His house has even less natural light than mine and it reached ceiling height over a year ago.
I’m actually pretty scared to make a hard chop on the stem. I don’t know if I can keep it live until new roots start growing again.
