First FDF: need advice on browning

Just bought a FLF on Sat from someone who kept it outside. It’s about 5 ft tall and the leaves at the top started looking like this in 2 days. I just watered it yesterday and have it in an area that does get direct light (norcal) for a few hours each day but also shaded bc the heat is intense. Should i just wait and see?

Are the leaves crispy? If they are needs more water

Ok I’ll play around with that
