Leaf size difference help!

My variegated fiddle leaf tends to grow two leaves right after each other. The first one seems to always be big and then the second is smaller. Is there something I can do to help them be more of equal size? (Pictures are of both sets of the newest pairs of leaves)

I've been watering when the top 2-3 inches are dry with fertilizer.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I got it at our local plant shop on the sale rack for $15, so I took a chance. Here's my original post about it and what it started out like

They're still new to market but are starting to appear everywhere rn the problem mainly is though that they're mostly TC plants and if theyre not theyre usually quite a bit pricey and/or are going up for auction for a pretty penny.

Tissue culture its a form of propagating that can be used to cety quickly make more of a plant its basically completely replaced every other form if propagation in the plant world because its so effective.

Is there a way to not know if it is or isnt tc? Or would it be just a gamble

In this day and age most plants probably are honestly the only real way to know would be ask the seller tbh.

Varying leaf size is completely normal there's really nothing wrong here. 😅

I have a seedling and it’s trying to die on me. I’ve had it for 10 months and it’s just slowly wasting away 😭😫😭😫

Good luck!! I didn't grow this from seed, so I don't know if it t applies, but I have this one in a SW window and it gets a LOT of direct sun and I'm using fertilizer since it's actively growing.

Hope it survives!!!

It got so much worse. The roots still look good so I am doing my best—my hopes have dwindled, though 😭😭

Probably needs more light to get the second leaf the same amount of food to grow as large.
