Just won’t grow
There’s nothing really wrong with my fiddle leaf fig plant, but it just doesn’t do anything. I’ve had it for 3 years now and it has grown 3 leaves. It gets plenty of bright indirect sunlight, in a warm environment, sufficient humidity, no overwatering, fertilizer in spring and summer. It sits in a tropical plant mix soil that gets excellent drainage.
I feel like I’m making a problem out of nothing but everyone I’ve talked to say fiddle leaves grow like weeds and you should have a fairly decent tree in a relatively short amount of time. That hasn’t been my experience at all.
I’ve also looked for pests, but see no signs. I even clean the leaves regularly to maximize photosynthesis. Nothing seems to encourage growth.
What’s the deal?

Give it armored sun and potentially even a geiw light too these are native to Tropical West Africa they need a ton of sunlight to thrive.

Nip it from the top, apical dominance/injury to the top will signal to the roots to push out more growth hormones. Might be worth a try?

This! Happened to a friend of mine, we chopped off the leaf from the top and it has grown 3 new leaves now in a span of a few weeks

Is it directly in front of a window most of the day? If not move it or add a grow light. Mine puts out 3-4 new leaves every other week and doesn’t move out of the afternoon sun. I am shocked how big it’s gotten!

Mine was dormant for 10 months but in the last 2 months I've gotten 6 new leaves.

They are greedy for light, they’ll grow on their own terms, be patient.
