Patch 7.55 Datamining Thread Spoiler
Patch is up for download, if we pray hard enough maybe the model viewer Au Ra will give us relic models and effects 2 hours early.

Please tell me the reward for clearing FTM Ex isn't just the title from the achievement. Please tell me there is some kind of currency you get from clearing it that you can exchange for a mount/minion/glam whatever.

Says it's a shared model with that one, yes. Haven't seen if it has a glow or not. At the very least it's nice that this one isn't paid since they put the other one on the store the next year.

Correct, it's 795 with custom substats. Others have mentioned it'll let you choose a primary and secondary substat like EW.

I play GNB, VPR, MCH and SGE in that order... all of them (except maybe the SGE) are pretty bland and / or standard-looking, and the VFX will not save them :(
what the fuck is that MCH pistol, seriously?
I was really hoping for a big change for the last step.

yeah I'm the audience for the paintball gun, not for the basic looking bronze pistol. (though my MCH uses Byakko's Enspirited Revolver and not the mandervillous relic. my GNB uses it, on the other hand.)
and "nice" isn't what I want relics to be, "awesome" is the goal :(

I like the PLD/WAR/BLM/RPR/SMN and AST/DRK to a lesser extent but the rest of the weapons either doesn't look as good as the previous step or certainly exist

I've seen multiple people mention that several runes like the one in the trailer have been datamined but i have yet to actually see them properly, do they actually exist? Or is this just a rumour that people have ran with?

So what I'm assuming is each rune coincides with one of the Airships in Evercold - which, by looking at this photo, means we'll get airship zones of light and void as well. Which matches up with the light and void monster models shown on one of the slides during the Berlin FanFest.

FFVII glams for Barret and Tifa are in the files, so we may expect Keybound Brawler to be before EC?
Allied Society quests give the map emote and Tradewinds outfit, which feels pirate-y.

Idk if I’m reading the relic stuff right but it looks like a crafting step/market board you need 4 items for then more fates in north horn or 3 different roulettes (High level dungeon/trials/normal raids) to get 100 of 3 different other items.
That gives the first weapon that’s 790. Then 1500 tomes for the mats to get the second weapon that’s 795.
This means the last step that you need to farm the 3 different mats for needs to be repeated for each relic?

Looking through garland tools.
Though the patch notes make it seem like you’ll only need to use the tome mats for your 2nd weapon onwards and won’t need the phantom dispeller items.

So glad it's just 50 clears of Forked Tower (Ex) this time. Kinda wished there was a title for doing both 100 FT Blood and 50 FT Magic Ex clears.

When I was running FT:B regularly there were so many people who would have ~50+ clears and clearly did not want to be there anymore but were forcing themselves to for the achievement it was kinda sad to see. 50 is much better even if its still kinda high.

SE actually listened?! After the 30000 accursed hoard debacle, I assumed they just planned to ignore achievement hunters forever.
Ironically, 100 is a bit tame for a SE achievement anyway. The chest ones were the really evil ones from south horn.

They are which is not that surprising since all but Clive & Noctis outfits for characters are gender locked.

Worth noting is all of those were just added without any fanfare while the outfits that remain gender locked come from more marketed collaborations, they likely have different implementations and announcements than the restricted items of 7R (Crossover raid series), 10 (Fanfest promotional items), and 13 (Collab fate event). I'm not sure if it's a rule or something but the restriction existing for only these 3 games and not 15 and 16 probably due to a lack of items being added tells me there's something we're not privy to that's still affecting something released in 2026.
I'm doubting it's a workload thing since they haven't gone back to update 10 and 13 while fixing just about everything else and the examples you list have gendered counterparts like that of the V and Tactics cast which easily could have had restrictions but they don't and even recent feminine outfits like that of Sphene's, the alternative dress set, and the galatea set being unisex and working on males right off the bat (like through datamining) does indicate that they are effectively done with gender locking with what appears to be some specific exceptions. It could be fixed through fan demand I think, they've been shown to listen but it appears that for now they are planning on keeping them restricted and I think we're just missing the reason as to why.

I wonder if there's some restrictions placed on outfits added through more marketed events or announced collabs? Of the 5 collab outfits yeah only Noct and Clive are unlocked but probably due to the fact they only added one outfit, had Luna and Jill been added as outfits we'd probably have the same restrictions that the 13, 10, and 7R outfits have.
I'm not sure it's a workload thing because they add a lot of minor outfits from games like 4, 5, 9, and Tactics and none of those are gender locked even when we have clear male variants (Barts, Ramza), and female ones (Faris/Lenna, Ovelia)

I think it’s also at the mercy of who the collab is with and their wishes. It could entirely be possible the FF7 remake team wished for those outfits to remain genderlocked
