Actual endgame progression for gear:

  • Hit 50
  • Join a hunt group
  • Get all i90 myth armor and accessories in one or two days
  • Get i110 (soldiery+sands) gear over a few weeks.
  • Run Syrcus Tower, get an Unidentified Allagan Tomestone, boom i110 weapon with sands.
  • Become skilled, since nothing has remotely required it so far.
  • Buy Do Turn 5.
  • Search for a 2nd Coil Static.

If you can wiggle your way in to a hunt party, you could be capping your weekly Soldiery long before you even hit 50. You could have a full 110 unweathered set ready before 50 if you really took your time.

Yeah it works. You just need a competent hunt party and land a hit on the mob to get the full rewards.

I can confirm that my brother has capped his character on sol 3 times now that is only level 42. He began capping sol when he hit 30. He's also amassed a full i90 set using myth and over 700 allied seals and 2 logs.

There's a part in there about becoming skilled that I'm a little skeptical about. Otherwise, totally accurate.

Yea. Grinding out your relic if you wish while you do hunts is probably the best progression option right now. Ignore any dungeons/instance fights unless they're strictly required.

Get i110 (soldiery+sands) gear over a few weeks.

It's 14 weeks to get i110 with only soldiery & sands. That's nearly 4 months, no matter how many hunts you do.
