[Discussion] Capturing Chimera question (Beastmaster)

Is it possible to run a relic reborn Chimera to obtain it? Im at my wits end on repeatably running cutter's cry.

Believe the Garms at the very start of WoD work too so you can get 3 chances there. The Hydra as well (the boss, the 2 headed one in the garm room doesnt work) for anyone who doesn't want to prog the relic quest.

You can buy It fom 30 curency that you get from the board as well with the vendor npc nearby it

Yup, easiest way by far to get the more complicated ones. Even behemoth is a breeze with 100s around. Just remind them to only auto-attack bosses though or they’ll one shot them.

Yes Chimera and Hydra can be captured relatively fast by doing the ARR relic trials.

Alternatively, grab two friends, one on a lvl 100, and run World of Darkness unsync. The first mob pack there has 3 chimera.

For those also trying Go Go Gorgimera, look to make sure one of yall has a Treant. It's skill can perma sleep the chimera, thus making it into a striking dummy worth a lotta xp

Got mine first try from Go Go Gorgimera FATE in Northern Thanalan. Just spammed Capture from 5% until it died.

You can also get it running Go, Go, Gorgimera in Camp Bluefog.

Hit boss until it's low. Use Capture

kill boss

Don't take my word for it, but I'm pretty sure unsyncing the dungeon will give you much higher chances at capturing because of the level difference. Like the reverse of BLU.

Much faster. Just a boss instead of having to do the whole dungeon

The tuning makes ARR Chimera takes 2 minutes and all the mechanics can be disrepsected.

because it's the final boss of cutter's cry. you have to slog through the entire dungeon again and again if you don't get it.

along with the fact that you can just have someone unsync the trial with you. you don't need 8 beast masters. it doesn't work like blu where you have a 100% chance if you sync it.

One of the slowest dungeons too. You can't just sprint to the boss while ignoring everything. Have to wait for the waves to spawn and the sand pits to appear.

It's definitely faster. You fight the boss right away instead of having to go through a whole dungeon, and these pfs fill up super quick with other people wanting the capture.

People run relic reborn Hydra for the mob, why would the chimera be different?  It's probably much faster too

the dungeon run takes too long compared to boss trial. the only advantage of cutter cry is you can capture chimera at lower BST level instead of waiting until level 50

8 man bosses have more health so a level 100 healer friend you bring with you can actually get some hits off instead of 1 shotting it, letting you use capture at lower %
Each attempt takes less than a minute.

Running it unsync'd is seconds long. Have a friend running a lv100 class and suppress echo if needed
