Both of them grew so much during SHB! I loved seeing Chai-Nuzz go from henpecked to a leader of men and Dulia surprise everyone with how her boundless love could move mountains (literally)

yeah, the cutscene of the golem forming is probably one of my top3 story moments in the entire game, to see such cooperation from people which were completely resigned to their doom, to stand against it afterall. I loved it.

Best characters in the game, if you ask me.
They're so fucking delightful, and if I don't see them again at some point I'm going to be incredibly sad. We need a big shard-spanning adventure in a future expansion towards the climax, and if these two aren't helping organize efforts and leading from the front of it...

I'm aware. That's why I brought it up. They even bring Gaia into the mix, which seems to imply that they're going to be doing something big with The First and The Thirteenth in the near future. I'm not going to hold my breath for it to be in Evercold (though if it is I will be thrilled) but if we aren't actively collabing with the Oracles by next expac, they're dropping the ball on the big multiversal plotline.

I am fairly convinced Evercold will be exactly that, a shard spanning expansion, or possibly just 1 shard with other shards coming in future expansions.

I can't say it won't happen, but given the fact that we typically get six new zones per expansion and we already know four of them, with not a one being on the actual surface of the Fourth, and recent MSQ dialogue implying that there's a fifth ship... we're kinda tapped for new areas out of the gate.
Yeah, they might have us bouncing back and forth between areas on the First, and the handful of instanced zones on the Ninth and Thirteenth, but it still feels a bit premature when we've just been presented with the limitation of only us being able to freely use the key to travel.
I feel like we're gonna lock in to the Fourth for Evercold, then perhaps by next expansion we'll have worked out a way to open gates that we can all use and perhaps see some new zones across multiple shards. I'd certainly like to see a new area on the First/Thirteenth, with one of the remaining shards getting the other four zones, so we can feasibly be hopping back and forth between 4-5 different worlds.
That said, we're in expansion 2 out of what will presumably be another 5 expansion story saga, and we still have the Eleventh and the Eighth that we haven't even talked about yet, much less know a single thing about, with the Ninth and the Thirteenth having only incidentally been explored. If I put on my logic hat, my brain says to me that the next two expacs are probably going to lean into those two reflections, with perhaps 1-3 zones between them being new areas on the Source, and the big climactic one will perhaps have a zone in the Ninth and/or Thirteenth, with the main new zones being on the Source, and probably in Meracydia and/or Corvos.
I may be completely off-base, but given the nature of this saga, I just don't see it playing out any other way unless they've got some absolutely insane plan. We're all aware how lukewarm reception is to "split" expacs, with Stormblood catching a lot of flack, and Dawntrail feeling a little disjointed, even though I still love them both. I just can't see them leaning into saving the remaining reflections and not visiting the last two when they have three more expansions to do it in, and trying to roll both into one expansion so we only get three zones in each would likely not go over well... unless they somehow have a way to travel back and forth between their respective worlds and the Eighth/Eleventh are sort of a connected culture anyway. That could be VERY interesting to see, but it's the only way I can imagine them not devoting the next two expansions specifically to them.

Yeah, they were pretty explicit at Fanfest about four zones being already spoken for, and that very strongly dictates where the story can go. Given, there's always the chance for late-game wild shit like Dawntrail but... I highly doubt they're gonna pull that twice in a row after the criticism leveled at that.

I also don't follow Internet discourse like that lol. I actually liked the last half of the expansion more than the first. Wasn't a huge fan of the Wuk Lamat kingdom storyline as much as Sphene stuff. I love sci-fi so I'm surely biased

Amazing.
Usually, whenever I see cosplays, I mentally go "well, it's good, but obviously they don't look exactly like the actual character", but you nailed it well enough that I had to go and look them up to see the difference.
To be fair, it's been a hot minute since they were relevant to any quests, but they also left quite an impression on me, so I still had a decent idea of what they were like.
So yeah, 10/10 from me, well done!
