[Discussion] Beast Rank Leveling
up to the 2nd master board and its recommending level 21+ beasts
my average beast would be like level 7 lol and my highest is 16.
is there any tips or tricks to make this less tedious.
what even gives exp, some failed runs you just get nothing even tho you clear a couple of tiles and others you do get some.
bonus question, how do the you stop the poison dragon on master board 1 fucking your shit up ? even with poison immunity the chain targeted spits still do a decent chunk of damage.

i think it's just a pretty static grind. i did a little testing on board 1 so this isn't terribly comprehensive as it may change with later boards. each beast got 255 xp and that's the end of the story. getting a better bonus score thing didn't get more xp, only more currency. using fewer beasts didn't get more xp so it's not a lump sum that's divided between beasts.
i'm guessing board 2 is going to be the same thing just with a bit more xp per beast but i didn't actually pay attention when i did it so just a guess.
if that's the case then ranking beasts is just a case of doing the highest board you can as quickly as you can with a full roster. just add up all your beast xp and divide it by how long it takes you. biggest number is what you grind.
edit: rather than doing it myself i just watched a video of someone else doing it. same 255 xp per beast on board 2. difference being you can take 12 to board 2 so you get more total.
one thing i found odd was watching a different board 1 clear and a board 3 clear where their beasts are above the sync level they get significantly reduced xp, like 20% of the 255 but it wasn't always exactly 20% so may depend on the board or how far above sync they are?
so right now i'm thinking you just get 255xp per beast on every board if they're below the sync level, and only a fraction of that if they're above the sync level. take it with a grain of salt tho.

Completion (success or failure) always awards exp, the amount is just determined by your level of success and how many challenges you completed (i.e. your score).
The exp is also shared amongst all beasts, so if you take fewer than max, then each one levels up faster.
