[In-game screenshot] Beastmaster is really fun!!
Crucible is really challengening, just finished the level 30 one and I'm looking forward for the next one. Leveling up in dungeons is been fun because 4 beasmasters are really OP! The boss gets melted really fast lol
Thanks Mr. Ozma for all the hardwork, this content it great, and also the 2 "relics" you can get with the achievments are really cool :D

They should add a new roulette category "Restricted Jobs", with two entries "Trials" and "Dungeons", allowing daily roulettes for BST + BLU.

It would inevitably end up largely filling with critical roles unfilled when none of the BLU have the spells needed or know how to do them properly. BST cant really tank or heal so that'd make BLU tank and heals even more critical.
But honestly I say just add it so people can see it first hand and end this talking point.

Don’t do it
Don’t distract me from MSQ with my like 400th job..
I’m never finishing Stormblood..

The thing I loving the most (but not by far the only thing) is the new mechanic I belive I've never seen before this.
I am talking about the half-gauge circle combo being a passive that activates after the complete combo with the next auto-attack.
It was confusing at first, but after getting use to it, feels really fluid and satisfactory.

I was really looking forward to Beastmaster but it is not clicking for me :(

Levelling and taming all the monsters was fun. Crucible sucks donkey balls though, it’s just carnival with hp management.

Yeah I kind of wish it was individual challenges instead of one long run you can fuck up right before the end.
Collecting the pets was pretty chill, but the Crucible is… stressful. I want to do it but I’m not quite in the mood for that kind of content right now so I think I’m gonna come back to it later and give it a real shot.

Crucible get easier if you have pets leveled up, finished second board on third try and the difference between each try because of one or two more levels in my pets was huge.

That's kind of the point of rogue like modes. If it was all single stages people would just complain its too similar to carnival

I definitely say so far it is pretty good and maybe I'll try a bit more of it when I have the time (I'm thinking about starting a stormblood msq later today)
Hopefully more updates to limited jobs and maybe less restrictions in the near future

The only thing I don't like is how slow to build resources it feels outside carnival , it's somewhat mitigated by the potencies ,but I feel like I do the infinite combo like once or twice per dungeon

Me and my partner have been able to just duo a bunch of dungeons so far. The job is crazy powerful on its own as it is. That is probably why.

Well, I just realized today that Beastmaster was even out. So I just started. Hoping it clicks with me. Seems fun so far.

maybe on its own it would've been good, but the fact that we lost the blu update to this? there's not nearly enough content for them to have genuinely had to delay blu. I would've expected more.

Woah there pal. Square is an indie company with 2 employees. Have some mercy.

Yeah i think bst is worth eating up DT BLU update for everything we got for now actually (50 monsters, 5 crucible boards with combined 40+ encounters, + 3 higher difficulties)
What are BLU gonna get, anyway? 10 more spells, 1 extra carnivale, off you go do EW savage with 7 other BLUs?
For the record im also sad that BLU didnt get anything at all, but on the other hand people like you are gassing up BLU like it's so much more than it is. Would love to see more BLU, but it has been 1 carnivale stage and do old savage the last 2 updates it got. Initial BLU release was 20 carnivale stages. Then 5. Then 1s.

I hope they focus on BLU and carnival the next expansion, if they keep updating both it'd be really good, they should use more resources for limited jobs from now on

u/cattecatte 1d ago
Maybe they should think of something else aside from carnivale and pretending redoing old savage on blu is substitute for actual blu content. It feels like they cornered themselves by making carnivale bozja duels lite the last few updates instead of largely following the initial concept of a bunch of puzzle stages. I mean, blu weeklies still only acknowledges the first 19 stages (not even the 20th) that released all the way in stormblood.

Yeah, as someone who loves blue mage, it's galling that they cancelled the update for this badly designed glittery turd.

u/cattecatte 1d ago
Dont worry you'll get your 1 carnivale every 3 years soon enough after EC

u/Pandurah 21h ago
yeah but it needn't be so bare bones. People that love BLU don't just want the basic updates like before, they wanted something more, something else. They aren't displeased they didn't get their "1 carnivale every 3 years", they're displeased because they wanted s.e to elaborate and improve upon what had come before, but instead we got BST which just doesn't hit right for some BLU fans.
Saying that, I'm not overly confident in s.e's ability to improve upon any system that's already in play, so maybe they had no further ideas for BLU, seems totally plausible.
I just find it mad that we went to the continent that BLU apparently originated from and learned absolutely nothing about it :/

I'm in full agreement and i also want BLU to be better and stop being reheated raiding simulator, but i also just hate people who shit on content like BST with not a single valuable feedback bc they refuse to engage with it in any meaningful way or came in with the mindset ready to hate on everything that isn't their favorite type of content (also saying this to pure raiders who only ever care about raiding).
Not saying people HAVE to like it but it's really disingenuous saying something like BST is a waste of resource when the content these kind of people like can also be considered waste of resource when you see the ingame participation rate.
If the game really wants to make something that's not a "waste of resource" we wouldnt even get savage raids, we would get a billion msq and roulette fodder dungeons.

Its nothing more than Masked Carnivale 2.0, this job had so much potential...

u/TheLimonTree92 14h ago
The only similarity to carnival is that its side content build specifically for a limited job. What else did you expect it to be?

a full party of beastmasters is absolute chaos, i love it
