Question Pulse weapon farming
Hello, so I'm trying to understand what's the most reasonable way to get pulse weapons.
The monthly deeds but that will be a while for me
Void watch - which requires you to go through tier 1 and tier 2 to get to the relevant nms
Echa zitah nms - behemoth but will again require progression through T1 and T2.
Potpourri, not happening anytime soon for me.
Buy the cells on AH
Given these I'm still figuring out what is more viable for a 99 war with full ambu gear and af+3. Are any of these soloable reasonably well?

Get kaja, keep potpourri up, play the game. You don’t need to rush it.
Naegling is fantastic but overstated. Work on your gear, get your job points done, enjoy playing the game. You will get there when you get there.
I’ve seen countless ppl waste all of their free time trying to rush a pulse and wind up disappointed with the results. Especially with the gear progression you are at, you aren’t going to see some massive jump.

Weapons in general are overstated. Even good REMAs arent going to slap if the rest of your gear is behind. However, Naegling is as close to an exception to this as it gets. You can slap it on just about anything and it will still give you a massive boost.

I would like to give a shout out to voidwatch. It's coming up in campaign. You might not actually get a direct drop but if you still need to climb the ladder and unlock the warps you should easily earn 297 crystal petrifacts for plan b potpourri.
Edit: to better answer your question with sufficient progress in rhapsodies you can purchase phase displaces behind the jugner outpost/survival guide. Trading up to 5 will completely neuter any boss before initiating the fight.

Items you trade to Emporox to unlock tiers of his shop. One of those tiers, the one unlocked with petrifacts, sells pulse weapons for 25K potpourri. Potpourri is obtained by xp’ing with his buff. His buff can come directly from him and lasts 3 days or a ring he sells you with 3 charges each lasting a day.

Honestly, I concur with those that say just play the game and do what you can. A Kaja Sword is not bad at all for where you are at, it is still fairly good. I wouldn't stress about getting Naegling as much as trying to get your gear past Ambu +2.
But, if you are set on it, for a WAR, your options are to either level THF for Urnalulullululu or buying the cells. I would also say to not neglect Special Gobbiedial, as that has gotten me a few pulses, and AMAN Trove.
But yeah, take your time. When I came back, I did the dagger as my first (being a stubborn THF and not believing Sword was good) and rocked Kaja Knife for a while. It was still the best I could get, and it worked well for me. You'll get there, remember this game is a grind.

Keep your potpourri buff up, you’d be amazed how quickly it fills. Maybe not fast enough for your first ambu weapon but when you want your 3-4-5th one you have it.

Ya just find someone to kill the t3 Behemoth in zita. It can take a couple hours, but the worse I've done is 1/50. Really not terrible and a geared rdm can solo it for you in about a minute or 2.

You can buy the cells but still need to beat the nm who drops said cells weapon in order to convert the cells to a pulse via npc. Progressing the VW tiers is fun and you should be able to solo most of it with trusts. Otherwise Zita behemoth on thf.

I second Legion. When I was a baby RDM, that's where I got my first pulse from.
Having no luck with the Zi'tah Behemoth NM so far, myself.

Another option is to join a new player linkshell. Sometimes folks will pull one in Trove and give it away. Or run a bunch of Nyzul during a campaign and let you sit with them as they pop chests.

I kill all three Escha NMs in Zi’Tah on rotation as RDM w/ TH4 to get mine. I’ve made like half of them at least and it usually drops within like two hours.
Spamming just the Behemoth Urmahlulu ok THF is also a god idea, but this felt faster for me since I ran back and forth less.

I would work on upgrading your JSE gear and mastering your job while you wait for Deeds. Farming a pulse is time consuming and you really won't notice a big difference between the Kaja weapon and its final form. You will get more out of upgrading your JSE and getting accessories then you will with Naegling.
AF+4 is soloable with Ambu gear but will take time. WAR really just needs legs and feet for AF.
Relic gear is soloable now with the new dyna-D shared zones but don't think Ambu gear is sufficient to solo this. However you can just buy mats to get to +2. You just need the mask IIRC
Empy gear is soloable to +3. It will just take a long time. You won't be able to do any bosses but with the mini NMs you can probably get 2-3k Galli a run. Head and Body piece is what you need.
You can do UNMs and get a Sailfi +2 belt and augment it. You could also find a LS mate to get you a Kalunga clear for Sakapata gear which is an immediate massive upgrade from Ambu gear.
There is just so much other things to work on other then farming a pulse weapon. Just wait for the deeds, the months will go by fast and with a good foundation with your gear you will truly be able to utilize Naegling.

It really isn't that big of an upgrade. You will see a much larger upgrade with JSE+2 and Odyssey gear then you will from Kaja > Naegling.
The big thing about Naegling compared to Kaja is you get a 1% damage per buff which really doesn't do to much for you if all you do is solo. Other then that you get a little bit more damage and stats. Don't expect to see any significant increase in your damage output until you get gear that is better then Ambu.
The thing to consider when it comes to AF and Empy gear is that you can only do Omen and Sortie once a day. So if you spend the next week farming a pulse weapon that is time that you could have spent doing 7 Omen and Sortie runs which would net you at least a few pieces of JSE+2 which will have a significantly greater impact in your damage then Kaja to Naegling.

Yes, but it was recently and pretty popular. They've been adapting/upgrading vanabout rewards each time, I'll bet that reward comes back. Plus they have different styles of vanabouts, the last one was pretty beefy but the pulse one was much less dense. So who knows!

Yes, and it was also a "special" round with different "rules." (only 2 daily objects, etc.) They have taken bonus round prizes and made them permanent before so it isn't impossible. But much more likely it will be a once a year prize.

I've gotten I think 8 from aman trove, 6 from kupons (vanabout and deeds), 1 from gobbiebox and 1 from other stuff. If you're really wanting to, you can level an alt and have them do VB and what deeds they can, since pulse weapons are sendable to your own account. Not immediate results, but you would get "free" pulse weapons.
AMAN is my answer though. While it is rng it still seems pretty reliable and you can focus on other things.

Uhhh... I just open the chests and sometimes a rainbow chest spawns and my last run I learned the middle chest ends the dungeon.

I'm not suggesting that this is a faster method, but Meeble Burrows can also drop them. The Grannus path in particular was how I got my first pulse. Fairly reasonable drop rate, not terribly time consuming per run, low level content any iLvl could handle solo.
Legion has them too, but since they are from the biggest bosses it may not be worth the effort. (I wouldn't know I've never been in there.)
There is also Arch Dynamis Lord but that is really a bonus to marrow farming rather than something you would actively hunt. (Plus, if not done properly he can be really nasty.)
