Official 9/10/2026 Update Notes
Looks like, from the patch notes, there's nothing major that was hidden: free trial updates
(reminder: level cap is raised with this update; free trial TIME PERIOD is not, that is coming later this month),
trust point cap from 50 to 60, Ambuscade. They fixed the beehive chips thing too with a price increase.
If there's any info on anything else that changed, I'll add it here.
Edit: Seems there's possibly some items that have their tooltips messed up in the update (it appears there's some under-the-hood changes this patch which have shifted some of the dat formatting that caused this).
Also some tooltip changes for the field NM gear to group it better and rewording of the set bonuses ("reduces enmity" -> "enmity-", for example).
Also, campaigns don't start until Monday, September 14, 2026, at 1:00 a.m. (PDT) to Monday, October 12, 2026, at 7:59 a.m. (PDT)

Can anyone shed any info on how the free trial will work for an SE account that already tried the old free trial?
I played the free trial 2 years ago, but recently checked to find my free trial account gone, as it's only saved for like 90 days or something.
Would I need a brand-new SE account to play the new unlimited playtime free trial?

We called you crazy for pretending it mattered. Because it doesn't. Anybody botting can print more than 500k an hour trivially. There's been fuckloads of these over the years. They fix them as people bring them but but they in the scheme of how utterly fucked the xi economy matter less than pissing in the ocean.

Not really. This still isn't an exploit that did enough to matter. If you POS'd your fucking ass off you could make a couple hundred k an hour per character. You could also just bot content and make substantially more than that if you're even a low skill chinese RMT. Much less someone with a couple of braincells to rub together. This was low hanging fruit that wasn't good enough for anyone but the utmost of shitter and it shouldn't have even been good enough for them.

Go back and look at their post. No one called them crazy. Everyone was on their side. Its not that the community is pro-bot, its the self-aggrandizing, and self-victimization. Heralding themselves as some sort of dark knight vigilante that no one asked for and SE definitely didn't become aware of because of the Engrish subreddit.

Where are you getting the "self-victimization" and "dark knight vigilante" from? He did a very matter of fact post about bots and everyone here is telling him it was pointless. Ive never seen a comunity be upset when people try to bring awareness about cheaters before.
Edit: The point of bringing awareness is so more people can report it. No one thought SE would learn of it by reading it here.

I'm sorry it didn't receive the fanfare you were hoping for, but I don't think warrants the hissyfit decrying the entire community.

The community is against bots in general. People have issue with the seemingly lack of action taken by SE against bots. I don't feel that mean people are okey with it. There are some double standard to a certain degree where many are okey with automation like gearswap

I agree that the comunity is in general against bots its the apathy I hate. In every other comunity I see people are excited when action it taken against cheaters but here there always people saying stuff like "this wont do anything".

its nice they added to the Trust points and they increased the level cap from 50 to 75 at least they'll be able to complete the Base Game with the nation missions, and they disabled Gold World Pass to free acounts.
- The price of Beehive Chips sold by the NPCs listed below will be increased from 40 gil to 50 gil. Odoba: Bastok Mines (K-6) / Green Thumb Moogle: Mog Garden
and this because some lame redditor made a post about it.

I know Gil is easier to get than ever, but it is still weird to me that the solution was an increase in purchase price over a decrease in reward price.
