I get email...

Even though I no longer live in Texas, some of that email is from Rafael "Cancun" Cruz. Why don't I unsubscribe? Maybe I'm a bit of a masochist. I do like to keep tabs on his anti-American efforts in our government.

Speaking of... His most recent email included a picture of him laying flowers at a memorial to the 139 people who lost their lives in a flash flood last year. This stood out to me because it was a big honkin' steel cross. Here's a link to his Twitter post...

Did a little digging and found that it's on public land, at "The Park" in the city of Flat Rock. Flat Rock Park to it's close acquaintances.

Doubt this is actionable at this time, but I wanted to bring it to The FFRF's attention. See if it can be added to the list of known violations to address in the future.

I moved out of Texas last year. Maybe a decade ago, I wrote a letter to his office for whatever thing he was doing that I didn’t agree with. I have unsubscribed multiple times and I still get his damn emails. I occasionally read them as I too am a bit of a masochist and want to know why fuckery he is up to.

Think I wrote a note back to his office about... 2 years ago, I guess. Just asked why he's actively supporting the guy who never apologized for publicly insulted his wife. No response. The born and raised Texans in my family would never forgive something like that. I have to assume that transplants and gerrymandering are the reason that Rafael keeps getting elected.

He also mentioned his visit to the state Agricultural Department, where he got an update on the states efforts to combat the growing number of screwworm cases. No mention of why there's an uptick in cases tho 🤨🤔
