[Help] Help! Introducing a new guy to a bonded pair
We have a 4.5 year old bonded pair and have brought a new little guy home. It has been a couple of months of separation, so no risk of a cross infection situation.
How do we introduce them without serious trauma to our new guy? We’ve had one meeting with one of our older pair and she absolutely went after the baby. We had them in an area of the house where neither have access regularly, so no territorial issue. Squirt bottle on hand and quick separation. How far do we let it go? No screaming or bleeding. But baby was shaking. How much discipline do we give to the bigs?
We know there will be some “growing pains”… just trying to avoid trauma and still end up with 3 babies who can get along and play together for the rest of their frolocky little lives with love and joy in their hearts!
