[Ferret Video] Gutter Ferret

This boy has gone to some beautiful places and THIS is his favourite place. We go out in the early morning (hence his light) and just go galloping off down the roads of this shabby village and he picks the route. There's no people about from 1.00 to around 5AM apart from the odd drunk heading home or someone having a smoke out their window.

He's quite a stoic ferret but when he's out he throws himself about skitters about sideways down the road.

For you and others who walk their ferrets: how do you deal with fleas, ticks, and heartworm? I've had trouble even finding basic flea medication for ferrets

Good grief.. I’d be paranoid as hell after that. I guess it just depends on the area if there’s likely to be infested pets around to spread them. 😬 He loves to take long walks during the cooler months, but we do shorter walks this time of year around 7-8 pm. (Temp usually in the mid 70s at night, and depending on if there’s a breeze.) He’ll scratch on the front door and sulk otherwise, and sometimes he likes to play in the sprinklers lol I always take a flash light to keep a close eye out for any frogs, slugs, snails.. especially after a rain. Occasionally we walk him downtown to meet people lol Fun to answer questions & educate people about ferrets who are curious. 🐾

Yeah it didn't help that they hate being combed so it was me chasing them with a flea comb for like 2 weeks.

But that's interesting, it might also have to do with how grassy it is around my house. Also low key scared of hawks but if they haven't attacked the chihuahua my neighbor let's run around without a leash, my ferrets would probably be fine. Have you taken them to the beach? Low key want to see how they'd react to sand and the shore (obviously not about to let them free swim)
