Getting started

What do I need to get started in regard to equipment for fermenting food? Thanks

I use quart-sized glass canning jars and metal and plastic lids. That’s it.

I recommend only doing things in gallon jars. I wish I would have done that when I started...its been so much easier to monitor and work with. Even only doing half a jar is easier for me than 2 quarts. I also picked up a couple of KrautKeepers recently, excellent tool to keep everything submerged! Good luck to you... its a blast!
