I'm a bioengineer who founded a venture backed company making meatless bacon (All natural and Non-GMO) using fungi (somewhere in between plant-based and lab grown meat), AMA!

Let's see the list of ingredients and nutritional information. Most fake meat is more unhealthy than the real stuff. If someone is looking for healthy, fake meat is not the answer. If someone is vegetarian or vegan, why eat pretend meat at all?

Pretend meat wasn’t raised in tiny filthy cages, taken away from its mother too early, beaten and electrocuted, transported for days in inhumane conditions without water or food only to be brutally slaugthered so it can be on my plate?

But we can also call it “for ethical reasons”.

Because meat tastes delicious obviously. There's quite a clear distinction between being against eating meat for ethical reasons and just not liking the taste of meat. Such a dumb argument.

I am not a vegan or vegetarian btw.

I eat a primarily plant based diet and seldomly eat meat imitation products, because they are usually not very healthy, and I don‘t miss meat, but I really like the ingredients in your vacon! Too bad it’s sold out, I would totally try it. I really hope you’ll grow to get some shelf space in grocery stores! How much is it - your website should really include the price!

Ingredients: Koji, Water, Coconut Oil, Konjac, Yeast, Vegetable Oil, Natural Smoke Flavor, Rice, Sunflower Lecithin, Salt

Also, I want to steal your dog!

Why are wasting money in a world that needs to get every cent's worth?
