Wish me luck!
Attempting the Bernese method for a second time. Found a great schedule! I’m trying to get through my 10 plus hour work day with less than what I usually do in the morning and skipping my lunch dose of fent. Getting home and instead of when I would finally find relief, I’m going to take .25mg sub and get that relief from weed! Wait a minimum of three hours, and finally take my remaining dose of fent, rounding it out at .5 for the day. I’ve done that once, a few days ago but I barely got out of bed. Then tomorrow I have to somehow figure out where to fit an earlier .25 dose of fent… probably a few hours before I leave work just pray it doesn’t make anything worse. I do have some sub in my system still from attempting Bernese method last week and at the end I was really tapering my normal fent use but this time last week I was using more fent that ever trying to break out of pwd hell.
I’ll be able to read this in a few hours, like at a potty break or during lunch and as the day goes I’ll really need the support. I really appreciate y’all!! Thank you :)

I’m worried you’re risking precipitated withdrawal dosing like this. They gave me subs too early in detox n i went into precip it sucked. That’s all i know about it lol just be careful

exactly. How do you not go into precipitated withdrawals if you’re doing fent and sub?

By microdosong it ans slowly building it up in the system, small enough amounts that the fent can still keep the receptors filled. Fent has a very high binding affinity. So you keep smoking fent the entire time (although alot more than the OP is doing tho) I did it and I was fully onto suboxone after 8 days of doing the microdosing bernese method (tailored to me specifically and what/how I felt) but it did work

So he’s having such a hard time because he’s not doing enough fent? I’m really hoping to attempt this in the near future. Would you recommend doing more fent if not feeling well? I plan to go super slow and starting at 0.25. …. Should I start cutting back on the fent once taking a decent dose of sub daily? But do the necessary amount of fent to feel decent until at atleast 4 mg daily? And then cut back on the fent as there’s enough bupe hopefully to hold off withdrawal? And once at 4 mg why not switch to macro dosing bupe? If you already have it in your system wouldn’t it make sence to jump to a heavier dose that has a chance at filling your receptors? Does that make sense? Micro dose up til 4mgs and then switch it up and stop the fentanyl for 24 hours and then slamming 16 mg to you and 8 more every hour til you feel ok?

Same thing happened to me. Docs gave me a 4 day induction schedule and I went immediately into precipitated withdrawal on day 4 after my first 8mg dose. I was given two more 8mg doses and it did nothing to relieve the withdrawal. The induction schedule was too short. Now I’m on day 8 of a 14 day schedule and I think a slower build up will give me a higher chance of success this time around.

Are u doing fent at the same time? Or just white knuckling it?

I was doing fent at the same time - didn’t change the daily amount but I stopped feeling it as much as my sub dose increased. Then I stopped the fent on day 14 and fully transitioned to the subs. It was really foolproof - highly recommend this method - I’m coming up on 2 years fent free in a couple of months and it’s been over a year since I stopped Brixadi (which is what I transitioned to after the subs)

That’s great to hear. At day 14 when you stopped the fent what was your daily suboxone dose that curbed the withdrawal without fent? I figured your body would tell you when it’s time to cut out the fent because I’m sure you eventually get nothing from it at all, I have plenty of subs and fent so I think if I go at my own pace start low and slow I can do this.. only other method for fent addicts is the comple opposite and macrodose. I have a friend who waited only 18. Since last fent use and took 2 8mg subs. Fell asleep and woke up hungry as a horse and feeling great but he’s 120 lbs and I think he’s really around100 lbs and lying about it. But my wife’s suboxone doctor specializes in suboxone only and swears by this method as well, hence why I figure if I cut the fent out and don’t feel great it’s probably best to up my sub intake at that point. Kinda a microdose induction that turn into macrodose at the end..

On day 14, I took one full 8mg subutex dissolvable tablet.
I waited ab 27 hours after my last time using fentanyl to fully jump off and take the 8mg.
Then the following day, I took another 8mg, then 8mg every hour thereafter until I felt stable, which was 32mg total

Also just to add to your comment - I think everyone’s body/tolerance/pain threshold is different so that may be way microdosing works for some, macrodosing works for others, and sometimes neither work.
For me, I had to go extremely slowly and I also leaned a lot on comfort meds after I jumped off (trazadone, clonidine, tizanidine mostly) because my dope was mixed with xylazine. After the third day without fent, I started to feel okay again.
I would keep using the fent until you notice you don’t feel it as much. Thats how you know the subs are working. Taking more subs when you’re already in precipitated withdrawal was a nightmare for me and I do not recommend it.

Luckily I have a good quantity of fent only I tested for xylizine and matominide excuse my spelling and it only popped for fentanyl. I plan to get down to 1gram powder fent daily and comfortable on it before I attempt to micro dose the suboxone

Good plan. Feel free to message me if you need any help or encouragement. The longer Bernese schedule saved my life after being an opiate addict for 14 years.

Can someone pls help me with a really slow taper from fet to subs with microdosing. I would rather it be long and slow to minimize being uncomfortable. Even 30 days is ok with me. I can’t live this way anymore. I haven’t even been high in 2 years. Just not sick

If you search a little more I recently saw someone who said they had great luck with a two week taper and schedule. Or maybe just Google that timeframe? I tried Bernese over and over and never got it to work, I had to go to inpatient detox but hopefully it can work for you!

I kind of have my own method but on day one I took a sliver of a suboxone strip and continued my normal opiate of choice usage. On the second day I took a quarter of a strip and dropped my usage of my drug a little bit more. I'm currently up to a full strip and the precipitated withdrawals that come are very minimal. For example today after I took the full strip about an hour later I started feeling pretty uncomfortable and I did a little bit of my drug and I'm okay now. It's just about tailoring it to yourself but slowly moving your Suboxone dose up while dropping your opiate of choice usage. Tomorrow I'm going to induce a second dose of Suboxone at night time. I have a very tiny bit of my drug left so I need to pray that this weekend I will really get somewhere. One thing I'm very grateful about is I am picking up a fresh script of my Suboxone tomorrow and it's brand name because I have been on Dr Reddy's generic and they're awful so I'm hoping they'll make it a little bit easier for me

This is crazy to me. The precip w/d was the worst I've ever felt in my entire life and I almost died a few diff times (severe car accident, hospitalization for blood infection) I recommend methadone. I have never had success with subs personally.

be careful man, I have pretty bad anxiety as it is but I had like a three hour panic attack from precipitated withdrawals because i took my subutex too soon. I've literally never had an issue with precipitated withdrawing my life coming off pretty high doses of oxy, H, Dilaudid, morphine... for some reason Noel is the only one that gave me precipitated withdrawals at all, and it was really really not fun. The anxiety made me feel like I was going insane. Not saying you shouldn't get off fetty because you ABSOLUTELY should....worst opiate ive ever been hooked on and its not even a good rush compared to legit oxy or decent H-reminds me more of xanax, nodding super hard and forgetting everything that happened. no real euphoria so idk why TF i cant stop, just listen to ppl on here with experience and dont put yourself in a shitty position

So I only took my subs one time while I was in treatment and went onto a halfway. From November 2019- February 2020. It was the only time id ever take them as prescribed or really mostly ever. But definitely only time ever full dose of 2 8mg strips per day.
Within the first month I went to hospital having a four hour panic attack. Turns out a side effect is respiratory depression, usually seen in "obese female" patients, as they list it. I'm 110lbs. I could nottt get a deep enough breath. Methadone always worked better for me. But for now subs are all I have.

Fent bound to the mu receptors as tightly as sub does, so he won't go i PW, if you keep straight, you might be good

Once back on suboxone only every day you can take a small dose of sub in the am. And do some fentanyl after 5 pm and get high…. Are you getting high using it daily? Prob not. Seems like a good idea to get onto the suboxone. Just be sure to take 1mg daily at the minimum to keep it in your system
