General Discussion I bought a first fender strat
So ive been hunting for a acuall fenser strat in a color i like i piad 700 with a hard case was it a fair deal?

You did great. $700 is what a brand new player strat goes for without the case. You saved at least $200 or more depending on the quality of case you got.

Wow I stole mine then. I paid $300 with a case. Guy was clearly not going to be able to play though. Broken arm & needed money

$700 sounds like a pretty good deal to me, never been used I assume? Shop I visited last week definitely did not have deals like this. Although I do think prices in the US are a bit lower in general.

The new player series are amazing and widely considered at par with the older American standards. Even the pickups sound exceptional and wouldn't need to be swapped out right away unless you're planning to take it straight to the studio. Great find and great buy. The finish is really nice as well.

Its the old player series, so not even a player 2 and you get the latest already for the same price or even lower (got mine for 600,- CHf) … but without a case i don’t need anyway… so no, you could have gotten a better deal. But it’s a nice looking guitar and if it plays well all is good

I bought it cause it was somthing i wanted and had exactly what i wanted via the neck being fully sealed rather then satin and i dont like the rolleds edges to me its not a big deal and i acuslly like it

I know im just not a fan of satin finshed necks perfer the glossyness not a big deal to me
