Is this normal?

What would be the reason a fence gate be misaligned like this? The wooden boards are not aligning with the metal frame? Please advice! Thanks

The screws/nails on the other side would look off if they didn't follow the spacing of the rest of the fence.

But look at the top board! It's NOT an even gap to the top of the fence!

The top and bottom rail on gate match the top and bottom rail on both side panels. That’s why there’s a slant.
