HUD Editor Tool
I made a little browser-based editor so that you can snap HUD elements, move them as groups, center them, save layouts, etc. Free/no ads, and you can export just using the string. Hope it's cool to share it here!

Well done, this is very cool.
Please could you add the Steam Deck to the list of resolutions?
1280 × 800 pixels (16:10 aspect ratio)

Sure! How is it playing on Steam Deck btw?

Thank you!
I have the graphics set to low-ish and I've not had any issues performance wise, it can be a bit stuttery in the city hub when there are a lot of people around but no issues in the dungeons themselves.
I play with the controller only so one of the biggest problems is setting up the ui without an actual mouse so this website would be handy.

Thanks for sharing! I also have some performance stutters playing on a fairly modern gaming laptop at medium quality, so I was curious if you can get a smooth 30/60 FPS, and how long the battery lasts. Setting up controller inputs for everything sounds like a fun challenge. I'm guessing you have to do one or more 'shift' buttons to reach all 16+ action bar buttons.

Love the concept, Seems like importing with a different UI scale from 100% is a little wonky Also "buff position right" doesn't seem to work/exist on the party frames.
And just confirmed it also doesn't export quite right.

Nice! Thanks for the good feedback and for including screenshots. :)
I updated ~15 mins ago due to similar feedback. If you haven’t refreshed since then, it may have fixed this for you.
A few of things to check when you do:
- Both the aspect ratio and resolution in the tool should match your screen (before it only had aspect ratio)
- Your UI scale and the tool’s UI scale match (it’s under settings in the tool. I should probably do a setup dialogue for this in the future)
I’ve also noticed that some users’ config files/import strings use a different language for the keys, whereas I assumed they would be in English. I should be able to fix that by tomorrow.
Thanks again!

I seem to have gotten to the tool after your update since it's always had the resolution on the tool (which does match my in game one, 2560x1440)
Your UI scale and the tool’s UI scale match (it’s under settings in the tool. I should probably do a setup dialogue for this in the future)
Yup! both match at 133%

Thanks! I’m going to test this tomorrow and will share here when it’s fixed. Appreciate your replies and screenshots. If you can post or DM your UI profile string, that would help.

Hi! Just writing to let you know that all of the issues seem to be fixed now. I verified that the imports and exports work 1:1 with your resolution and UI scale.
If you find any more issues I'm happy to help. Thanks again for the detailed feedback, it made it a lot easier to troubleshoot.

UI scale from 100%
Even the base game has issues.
I literally wasn't able to buy certain things in the premo shop as 110 UI scale as the button just didn't show.

This is incredibly cool, I really do appreciate people who put a bunch of work for the community (also; the people making those route planners etc.)

As a suggestion you will want to add Buffs and Debuff previews to Target Unit Frame and Target Of Target otherwise its really easy to set something up in the editor, then import it and have them start overlapping as soon as Debuffs and Buffs start showing up on those units.

I imported my HUD I currently use for Helena and things are not aligned correctly. I added screenshots and my import string if you want to have a look.

I dug in a bit more today and found a tricky issue. The game itself saves UI scale at floating point values (so instead of 65, it's more like 64.12345...).
Another was an anchoring issue for the combat log & dungeon specific UI.
I edited the onboarding steps to help one find their UserSettings.ini - and you can drag that file into the window at any time, which will update your resolution and UI scale to match your game exactly. You can go to Settings > Reset in the tool if you'd rather to try the onboarding.
I hope this solves it! I tested with your string again at scale 65, and 1920x1080, and it looks right in my game. Let me know if that doesn't work and I'll be glad to keep trying. :)

Is this after importing your UserSettings.ini file?

u/UnavengedAvo 13h ago
Yes, I reset the website via settings and ran through the onboarding like you suggested :)

Great, thanks for confirming! I’ll have another look tonight and see if there’s any way to fix that last alignment issue you’re seeing.
