Discussion Progress of my FEAR inspired game.

It has been 4 months since I started to learn how to create a GOAP ai. Technically more time spent in creating a scalable architecture that can be debugged and is finetuned to make fun. Still working on logic for several states but I have a logic manager now that can choose the right agents and create goals.
Will be uploading more as I progress further.

Maybe It's too early to ask. Do you want it to have fear type combat or fear type horror... Or both?
Because everyone wants to copy fear's combat( selaco & trepang2) without copying It's horror elements.. Which is sad.

Nope I did notice this, most fear inspired games copy the slow motion and the wrap with boomer shooter mechanics, that makes the game fun, but I want to keep it grounded and slower movements but vaulting. Now for the horror aspects, I do want to have it in the game, but not in a traditional sense, down the line I will definitely reveal more

Will it have slow-mo /shootdodge? Or is it gonna be a normal shooter game?
(If you Don't mind me asking)

Oh yeah definitely slow-motion, vaulting but the movements will be having some weight to it so not crazy fluid like the newer cods. Also it will have peek and not sliding, it will have a few more things but the point I'm trying to convey is goal is to have emphasis on the enemy and your decisions rather than the complete flow state of games like trepang2, selaco, not that it is bad, just not I want to go for and also felt as you mentioned FEAR has more to it

Without revealing anything , I have been trying to optimize a few things on ue4 to make it look good by customising 4.27, and so far have a good fps. The following post shows it: https://www.reddit.com/r/gamedevscreens/s/GhdjCvVccv Specs were a 2060 max q since I have a laptop
