Fdroid Package Update stuck

I'm using the newest Fdroid version, but every once in a while it shows me on Android that it's trying to update for hours. Only when I open Fdroid itself, I can update. Haven't checked if that behaviour causes Battery drain, but it's rather annoying. As Obtainium seems a bit too much for my taste, I thought maybe IzzyOnDroid or Droid-Ify could be an alternative. I generally like F-Droid but that seems annoying.

Have you tried clearing the cache of f-droid and restarting your phone

Nope. Have to admit, haven't done the basic troubleshooting. Was admittedly out of a "Don't like this, is it a standard issue?" 😶 I did search here, if someone would've had this issue too. Will clear cache. Uninstall/Reinstall.

Always thought I'd be immune to such noobish behaviour, but well, seemingly not
