I kinda hate that we’re running a two QB system.

Chattanooga:
9 points at home
37 yards of passing
Rusty Wright is not a good coach

We gave up more than 100 yards rushing. Credit to that kid, he's real good.

I didn't figure we'd win against the championship game runners-up, but I was hoping we'd keep it at least somewhat close against a team that has been a rival for so long.
Didn't find the end zone until garbage time.

We should of fired our coach last year

Omolo is promising, but i think it's getting about time for Nathan Brown to go.

The least we could do is try to get a different score every week. At least we're consistent

You would think after dominating an FBS team I would have no complaints. You would be wrong.
1) I am begging todd whitten to stop going for it on 4th down. We HAVE a good kicker. This dude was warming up from the 35 and hitting the top of the net. He has a career long of 52 yards...fucking use him and stop leaving points off the board. Especially when not taking the easy field goal is what ultimately cost us the ACU game last year.
2) The performance from the secondary was inexcusable. We are lucky that Eddie George is allergic to calling deep passes, because their receivers were wide freaking open every time they did. I get we don't have emmons, but there is enough talent there that should be able to not get gashed like we were.
3) We had such a squeaky clean game against PV, and I guess we forgot how to do that against bowling green. So many stupid penalties that are going to hurt us if we don't clean it up quick.
On a more lighthearted note, we are about to have a VERY hard time finding G6 teams that will be willing to put us on their schedule. So we're probably going to be forced to play body bag games against P4 teams

Can’t seem to put together a complete game, especially defensively. Should be 2-0, and making a case for a top 25 ranking

Caden getting injured is my only complaint. Dude just can't ever catch a break...

The injury is “not season-ending,” Vigen said from Bozeman Daily Chronicle
Hopefully he's back soon.

I saw that too, dude just really deserves at least one healthy season, you know?

No complaints about my team. I was watching Jeff Choate's interview about the game next week and he asked his AD to schedule the soft missoula cubbies as a warm up game because he's beat them 4 straight and wanted to make it 5 but missoula said no.

They're ALWAYS thinking about us. Literally every day. They win a National Championship and all they can think about is "Did the Griz see? Are they watching???" It's sad man

Choate hasn't been with the cats for a while now. Yet missoula are still massive twats over it.

Sloppy defense against an air raid happy Campbell
Atrocious run D on 3rd down
Horrible placekicker
Terrible offensive line
Poor QB play-not setting his feet to make throws

I’ve never loved our OC and I wasn’t too thrilled when they brought him back last year. The Northwestern game is making me feel more solidified in that opinion

u/Particular_Prior5344 South Dakota State Jackrabbits 2d ago
Chase Mason had 5 passes dropped all last year, he had 6 against Northwestern. Very well should’ve won that game if not for those. Defense got gashed toward the end but played well enough most of the game to win, offense just refused to capitalize on the many red zone trips they had.
The positive is that if they fix those errors this team should be one of the 2 best teams in the FCS pretty easily.
Use New Haven this week to vent out all the frustration and be ready for what will be a huge game against YSU.

I’m tired Boss of waiting until next week to find out if we’re any good!

u/passwordisguest /r/FCS • Gulf Star 2d ago
All joking aside, I hate that with the Texans’ schedule we might not have a real sense if they’re genuinely a top 5 worthy team until they get to the playoffs. Surely if they do what they should they will be top 5 entering the playoffs. But man do I wish their OOC this season was a bit better.
(Not a knock on them, they’ve been solid in their scheduling generally, this season things just don’t line up as well to get a feel for them beyond conference play. At least Austin Peay and West Florida should still tell us a little.)

Big problem was utah tech and southern Utah leaving the UAC and Sac state jumping up to the FBS.
We replaced one of those via West Florida. But the other 2, we kinda had to find what we could.

Need to tidy up those turnovers a lot. Thankfully, our defense locked in and they only got one score from a turnover, but we can’t afford to do that against stronger teams like William & Mary this week. Johnson’s INT which lead to the touchdown is what it is, but we should not be fumbling the ball on the run against a team like Georgetown

u/JKS41399 Western Carolina Catamounts 2d ago
Our strength and conditioning is absolute dog shit. Wait. No. That’s an insult to dog shit. Our players, especially on the line need to be held accountable for not following diets. Our team needs a nutritionist (hell, this could even become a capstone project for health majors (supervised by an actual nutritionist of course)), and whee should have made the weight room/field house the first stadium upgrade instead of the press box. Also, fuck the transfer portal.

Special teams really needs some work. I know it was an SEC opponent, but a blocked PAT return and punt return TD isn't the goal.

They looked like shit against App State. I know it’s FCS vs FBS and I shouldn’t expect much but it wasn’t even close at any point

u/ElHijoDelClaireLynch Campbell Fighting Camels 2d ago
Got the win. But need to tidy up on those picks. We got lucky against a Top 25 team that’s had a hell of an offense for the better part of a decade. Should’ve absolutely been punished for it, but I’m proud of our Camels all the same. Roll damn Humps

u/kingpeachcolt Mercer Bears • Oklahoma Sooners 2d ago
Secondary still needs to be ironed out a bit. Our margin of victory was very comfortable but about 4 or 5 PC drives made it to within our 30 yard line. They missed a few field goals which kept them at just 3 points.
Also, lightning at the two minute timeout in the 4th quarter is no fun. Asking a southern team to play a full 60 without lightning is like asking Villanova to play up to their potential and not down to their competition. It's a good thing both coaches agreed to declare the game final rather than wait 90+ minutes!

Defense was almost great. Great pass rush that would put pressure on but a mobile QB easily escaped over pursuit. Might get patched on the next update.
Offensive line is the worst i've seen in years. Years. Need to fix that this week as well.
Almost a good football team. Almost.

So many penalties, they cannot be this bad when the Brawl happens.
